I slowly slid into the floor of the nursery, panting as contractions began to tear me apart. I was shaking a little bit as well, scared. I closed my eyes and laid on my back.

"Cade," Eric said, shaking me gently.

I didn't respond. I softly panted and whined, wondering why the baby was coming a week early. I felt tears fall down my face and I tried to think of how happy I'd be when the baby was here. I shiver gently and kept my eyes closed.

"She's in the nursery," I heard Eric say.

I opened my eyes and see he wasn't beside me anymore. I lift my head and whine, hoping he heard how scared I was. I watch him walk back in, feeling lightheaded.

Eric knelt beside me, then he kissed my forehead. I start to close my eyes again, then I hear my parents walk in. I feel my dad's right hand take mine, then I felt Eric's left hand take my left. I instinctively squeezed there hands.

I felt my mom's gentle, calloused hands take off my leggings, then she covered my legs with a sheet. I tense when I heard the one person I dreaded telling about my pregnancy walk in. I wanted to whine and tell my older brother I was fine, but he would know I wasn't.

I open my eyes when I felt Aiden take Eric's place on my left. I looked at my dad and brother with fear filled eyes and I knew I was shaking. What caught me off guard was that Aiden began to sing a lullaby.

"Wha," I murmur softly as he rubbed my knuckles.

"You remember when you'd run to my room in Abnegation from nightmares," Aiden asked me.

I murmur a yeah and softly whimpered. Aiden and my dad took turns kissing my forehead. I soon realized Eric would be helping Mom and Aiden would help Dad keep me calm.

~Fifteen Hours Later~

I grunted softly, stilling laying in the floor. I felt exhausted, but I knew soon I'd my child and I'd be pain free. I listened to my mom tell me to push and did as instructed.

Dad had left, but Eric and Aiden remained by my sides.

Soon soft crying could be heard and breaths of relief were heard as well. I smile up at Eric.

"It's a baby girl, Cade.".
