~Eric's POV~

I watched as Cade hummed softly. She was sitting in a rocking chair in a nearly completed nursery. I smile softly and lean against the doorframe. I watch her rub her stomach, then she gets up and walks over to where the crib would be. She looked down at the box, then she began to sit down on the floor.

"Cade," I call, a little worry in my voice.

"I'm fine, Eric," she said as she began to open the box.

I shake my head and walk over, kneeling beside her. I gently take her chin with my left hand, making her look at me. Her beautiful, amethyst eyes had a little bit of sorrow in them. I kiss her forehead and help her stand back up.

"I could've done it," she said, pouting.

"I know, Baby, but Tris said for you to rest," I say calmly, cupping her face, "You're overexerting yourself and tiring yourself out too quickly.".

Cade looked down, averting my gaze. I kiss her right temple, gently pulling her close. Cade laid her head against my chest, her left hand resting against my right bicep. I kiss the top of her head, squeezing her hips gently.

She huffed and lightly slapped my bicep. She gave me a pouting lip and puppy eyes. I smile softly and kiss her forehead. She blushed softly and finally looked at me.

"How about I put together that crib and you sit in the rocking chair. We can talk or you can tell me about your day and I'll listen to you," I say, smiling softly.

"I can do that," she said softly.

I smile and bring the rocking chair over. Cade softly yawned, then she sat in the rocking chair again. I squeezed her knee, then I began to pit the crib together. I looked over to Cade after thirty minutes and smile.

That's when I noticed her nose was scrunched up and that she was gripping the arms of the rocking chair. She was softly whimpering as she crossed her ankles.

"Cade," I softly asked her.

"Our baby's coming!".
