Clouds start move over head blocking the sun. The wind starts to pick up and the air started to get muggy. I can tell that it's going to rain pretty bad soon

My gut is telling me that something is wrong. I don't know what it is but I don't like it. I feel like I need to move the herd to a more secure place.

All of the other horses seem to have the same gut feeling. The mares kept there foals glued to their sides. Everyone stayed in groups, one would graze for a short time and the other would keep watch then they would switch.

'I don't like this feeling' Onyx says

'I know neither do I but we need to find Phoenix' I told her

I moved to the top of my little hill that looks over the grazing valley. Scanning over the herd I couldn't find Phoenix anywhere. Great of all the time for him to disappear. I stomped my foot in frustration.

I don't know what to do. I can't move the herd unless he is here but I also don't fell safe staying out in the open. I can't decide what to do

A strange noise that came from behind me caught my attention. I turned my head around and scanned the area but didn't see any thing. A high pitched whinny distracted me, it was from Phoenix. I turned back around and saw him running towards me.

"Onyx take the herd somewhere safe" he said

"Why what's wrong" I asked

The strange noise that caught my attention earlier came back and this time it was louder. I looked back again and saw humans on horse back coming towards us fast.

"No Phoenix you take the herd they need a stallion to keep them safe from rogue stallions. I'll take care of them"

"Onyx no.."

"No time to argue" I said and took off. He called to me to be careful.

The rain started to pour down, thunder shook the ground and lightning cracked through the sky.

I flew pash the humans on horse back and when I did I realized something. They aren't human. They're werewolves. I became furious. How dare they come for my herd.

"Go after the rest of that herd we got this mare" a man call.

Three of them were chasing me. Their horses just able to keep up with my pace. Running across the field the rain kept coming down and lightning light up the sky. The wolves push their horses to go faster.

In the distance I could see that a tree had fallen. Perfect, I had led them well away from the herd so after I jumped the tree I could fine my way back to them.

"We got her boys. She'll never be able to make that jump" one cheered. So he thinks.

I neared the trees and pushed off my back legs hard, hurdling myself over the tree and clearing it perfectly. I stopped on the other side of the tree.

Rearing I kicked in the air and whinnied, showing them that I had beat them. I came back to the ground and took off again. I threw my head up and gave them one last success call. Big mistake.

A prickly object landed around my neck and yanked me back. Even though I knew it wouldn't do any good I reared and bucked.

"Quit mare" the voice was deep and commanding. An alpha.

His voice didn't affect me though, instead it filed my anger more. I charged to him and his horse and when I was nearly inches away from him another rope landed around my neck. I eventually ended up with three around me.

I didn't know where they were going to take me. But I did know that I wasn't going to let them take me with out putting up a fight. I only hope that they didn't get the herd.
