Chapter 17

Elena

I could hear his voice, so soft and warm. He was here and ok and he's not mad at me. He's not mad that I had a child with another and he wants to help me get her back. Onyx is still weakened but I could feel her healing us.

I wanted to wake up so bad but I couldn't. I tried to force my eyes open but nothing happened. I tried to move some other part of my body but again nothing happened. I screamed in my mind.

-Elena that's not going to do anything. The doctors put us in a coma we can't  wake up until he takes us out of it- Onyx told me.

"I love you, I'll be back" I heard Ash say then felt warm tingles spread through my forehead.

-No don't leave. Ash just get the doctor I'm healing.-

-He can't hear you- Onyx said sounding annoyed.

-What's up with you your acting like you could careless-

-I do care buts there's nothing that we can do until we're out of this coma-

A few minutes after Ash left the door opened again. I heard foot steps coming to my bed. Something was off though, they sounded heavy and slow like he was looking around the room.

"Why hello Elena" the person said. I recognize it but couldn't think of who it was, but I'm willing to bet that who ever it is is from the Lamia pack. "It's to bad that your not awake to fight back, this just makes everything to easy." he sighed "Oh well I guess. Say hello to all for your kind for me will ya" The door opened just before he was about to what I was assuming was kill me.

"I'm sorry sir but might I ask what your doing since only family can be in here" I heard a female voice ask.

"Well I was about to kill this pretty little lady right here" he said at stroking my cheek and I wanted to badly to yank away. "But now that you have intrepid I'm going to have to kill you as well" I heard his foot steps walk away from my bed and towards whoever else was in the room.

There was bone cracking and then a blood curdling scream. I heard the wolf ripping into the woman's flesh and I tried to fight the coma but nothing happened. Then everything when silent until I heard claws moving across the floor. The bed dipped down and I felt his hot breath on my face.

*Bella*

I was walking down to Elena's room when I heard a blood curdling scream. I instantly picked up my speed and when I got to her room I shifted into my sandy blond wolf.

There was a large gray wolf on top of Elena's bed and he had his jaws around her neck. I growled protectively over my Luna and best friend. The other wolf growled as well and jumped down from the bed. He's considerably larger than me so I don't know how this is going to turn out.

He lunged at me first and I dodged it quickly. I have to find his weak spots or else I'll loose. I'm not a really good fighter but Damon has been training me just incase something happens and he's not the there to protect me.

The only weakness that I'm able to see is after he lunges. He'll stand with his back towards me for a moment then turn around and have to get his stance ready.

He lunged again and I dodged it. I'm kind of small so it makes me quicker on my feet allowing me to dodge quickly and get away quickly. I ran up to him as he landed and jumped on is back. I threw all of my weight to one side and we both fell over but I managed to stay on top of him and grab on to his throat. I wanted to kill him slowly but that would mean he would have a chance to over power me so instead I took a huge chunk of his throat out and spit it on the ground.

I shifted back and got a hospital gown from one of the drawers. Once I had it on I ran over to Elena to make sure that she's ok. I grabbed her had and noticed that she had healed some. It wasn't a lot but it was noticeable, so I called the doctor. He came running in with Damon just behind him. I almost foregot that I mind linked him when I heard the screams.

"Oh my goddess Bella are you alright" Damon came running over to me.

"Yeah I'm fine but doctor she healing" the doctor went over to Elena and looked at her.

"Your right she is." The doctor lifted her arm and looked at her injuries. He then went over to her IV stand and put something in it then he took out the thing that was in her throat and put a different thing that went to her nose.

"I put something in her IV that will reverse the coma. She's still in some pain so I also gave her some morphine. She should be waking up soon"

"Ok thank you doctor, Bella I'll be back I'm going to get Ash" Damon kissed the top of my head and then left. The doctor stayed and did some things over at the counter.

I went and sat in the chair next Elena and watched her. It's been weird the last week with out her even though we only just became friends I fell like Iv known her for ever. I saw her start to move her fingers so I looked to her face and saw that she was blinking her eyes and I stumbled to her bed side.

*Ash*

"Ash there you are. Elena is healing and the doctor is pulling out of the coma" Damon told me when I bumped into him entering the hospital doors.

My wolf howled in hoy that his mate was healing and that she was waking up. I picked up me speed and hurried to her room. When I got there I saw two dead bodies on the ground and Bella stumbling to Elena's bed.

"Bella what happened here" I asked her

"Not right now, Elena sweetie how do you feel" she asked her. I quickly went over to her side and kissed her lips.

"What the hell were you thinking Elena you could have gotten yourself killed" I scolded her when I pulled away. She had a look of shame on her face. I sighed "Just promise me you won't ever do something like that agin. I don't know what I would do if I lost you"

"I can't promise that Ash. I won't let you and others fight to protect the same people that I'm supposed to fight and protect as well" I smiled at her words. She's going to be one hell of a Luna I can already tell.
