Last horse shifter

Chapter 22

*Elena*

Today Ash's parents are coming to meet me and Bella. I'm nervous to see what they think of me since I already have a two year old daughter that isn't Ash's and that I'm a horse shifter.

The pack knows what I am now and they have accepted it. We didn't call a meeting or anything to announce it, it kind of just got around. Who started it? I don't know but it doesn't really matter because we where going to tell them sooner or later.

Ash had to leave early this morning to deal with some Alpha business. It aggravates me that alls he say when he has to leave is that it's 'Alpha business'.

There was a ding singling that the elevator had reached this floor. I walked out of the kitchen and over to the elevator, but I saw no one. I know for a fact that someone had entered because when I get there the doors where open.

My first instinct was to run to Lilly and make sure she was ok. I hadn't heard her scream so I think she is but I'm not taking any chances seeing as I just got her back.

Stopping in the door way of her room I see her on the ground playing with some of her dolls. She looked up at me and smiled. "Mamma play wif Lilly" she said holding up one of her dolls. She talked a lot in third person, it's kind of cute.

I put a finger to my lips telling her to stay quiet then motion for her to come to me. She must have sensed my concern as she quickly got up and ran to my arms with a scared face.

"We have to stay quiet ok" I whispered into her little ear. She nodded her head and wrapped her arms tighter around my neck. I held her close to my body has I turned the corner to check for some who shouldn't be here. I saw no one so I turned back around a check other rooms. As I entered the bathroom nearest to Lilly's room I noticed a window open.

I walked over to it and looked out. Though I saw no one I could catch a faint sent, but it was too faint to recognize. I closed the window and looked out of it for a moment. Alls I saw what the yard and forest behind the pack house. If they jumped, werewolf or not, I don't see how they could have survived it with out some kind of injuries.

I sensed someone behind me and spun around quickly and stood in a defensive stance. Well, as much as I could with a child clinging onto me. Bella stopped in her tracks and put her hands up.

"Woah Elena chill it's just me" she said. I calmed down but was still on high alert and still held Lilly close to me.

"Are you ok" Bella asked putting her hands down and walked towards me.

"Yeah fine just a little jumpy that's all"

She gave me a weird look "Ok well I bought us some cloths for the lunch thing. It's almost eleven now so we get ready."

I nodded my head and followed her other of the bathroom. While getting dressed I still didn't let my guard down. I even made Lilly grab her dolls and play in my room while Bella and I got dressed. Bella noticed that something was up and had to ask what it was.

"Alright fine but don't tell Ash I don't want him to get worried and I don't want to be smothered by more guards" I looked at her for her promise. She nodded her head and I continued.

"I was in the kitchen getting a drink for Lilly when I head the elevator ding. So like normal I went to check to see who it was since no one called. The door was open and no one was around. I grabbed Lilly and checked every room but when I got to the bathroom the window was open and there was very faint sent."
