So this is something that a reader named strawburry10 kind of suggested and I thought that it was a pretty good idea. So shoutout to you strawburry10 ;). Hope everyone else thinks it was a good idea too.

Anyways here is the surprise.

*3rd person POV*

Lilly giggled and screamed as her father, Cody, chased her in his wolf form playfully in the back yard. He held his pace at a slow jog leaving just enough distance between him and Lilly so she though she was winning.

She screamed again as she looked back and saw her daddy slowing gaining on her. Cody and a wolffish smile as he watched his little girl giggle and scream. He may not have cared for her mother but he loved Lilly unconstitutionally and always made time to play and spend time with her.

Lilly stumbled and fell to the ground. She stared to cry a little bit since she had landed on a stick and it cut her knee. Cody instantly caught up to her and laid on his stomach looking to she where she was hurt. After finding the source of her pain he licked the wound then licked Lilly's face making her laugh uncontrollably.

"Ewww daddy stop" Lilly giggled and blocked her face with her hands.

Seeing that his daughter no longer in pain, Cody got in the playful dog position where his butt was in the air and his tail wagging. He growled playfully at Lilly and she screamed playfully as well and stood to her feet. The chase was back on.

Cody and Lilly played in the yard for another hour until Harmony, Cody's mate, called for lunch. Lilly ran into Harmony's arms.

It took Harmony some time to get used to the idea of her mate already having a child. At first she resented Lilly, but she knew that if she want Cody in her life she would have to warm up to Lilly. After a couple of months she fell in love with the little girl and treated her like she was her own pup.

But she still wanted her own pup or pups. She wanted to experience the pregnancy, birth, and have the special mother pup bond that she wouldn't have with Lilly. She hasn't told Cody about what she wanted yet but she promised her self that she would soon.

Harmony feed Lilly while Cody got dressed. When he entered the dinning room he kissed the top of Lilly's head and then kissed Harmony. He loved his mate more than anything in the world, other than Lilly of course.

"I have to get some paper work done I have to much to keep putting it off. I'll be back in time for dinner though"

Cody grabbed a his sandwich and left. He head to the pack house where is office was. He had been putting off most of his paper work for a while now and it's starting to come back to bit him in the but.

When he entered his office he sighed at the very large stack of papers that sat in his desk. Normally he would have help for his beta but his betas mate just he'd her pups so Cody gave him some time to be with them.

Cody sat down in his chair and started with the first of the paper work. He read over the fine print, signed his name on the bottom of the paper, and put it off to the side.

He grabbed another paper and started to look it over. There was a knock at the door and his betas head popped though the charm in the door. His beta had informed his that some men for the council where here. Cody told him to send them up to his office since he was completely swamped in paper work.
