Chapter 21

*Ash*

"Ash there's been another attack" demon came into my office.

"Well then what are you doing here"

"We have already apprehended the rogues there waiting to be questioned. I wanted to know if you wanted to do the questioning."

"Yeah sure I'll be down there in a few"

He nodded and then left. I headed to the top floor to talk to Elena. When I got up there I head straight to Lilly's room. It seems that that's the place where she spends most of her time.

When I reached the room I saw that Lilly was playing with some dolls with Elena and Bella.

"Elena can I talk to your for a moment"

She nodded and excused herself from the room. "What wrong"

"Demon and his men just caught more rogues and I need to go and question them so I might be late for dinner"

"Ash you promised"

"I know I know I'll try to do it quickly and when all this is over with I'll be at dinner every night I promise"

She looked away and mumble something.

I sighed "I love ok. Oh and I got a call from my parents they want to come and meet you and Bella since they haven't met her yet either"

"When"

"Tomorrow for lunch"

"And you'll be there for sure"

"Yes I'm not going to miss my parents meeting my beautiful mate"

She smiled and gave me a kiss. I so badly wanted more of her. To take her in our room and make her fully mine. But I know that she isn't ready and I will respect that.

I left quickly so I could get this integration done. I need to keep my promise with Elena. I skipped out on the last few that I made and I know that is making her up set. She has been wanting to do family dinners so Lilly can get used to us.

When I got to the prison I could smell all the death and blood coming from inside. We dont take to kindly to those who are our prisioners.

Walking through to hallways I got stairs from all the inmates. Hate shown in their figures, but I didn't care. Regular packs don't have prisons but as a royal pack we have to. The council has all the royal packs keep a prison maintained. I honestly don't now why but I don't argue with them.

Entering the room, I saw them chained to the wall. All my tools had been set up for me so I walked over there first. I picked up different tools trying to figure out which one I wanted to use first. They are all made of silver or wolfsbane.

Still looking at the tools I started my list of questions. "Now I'm really getting tired of have rogues coming into my territory, so tell me who is sending your kind into my territory"

"Well die before we tell you anything"

"If that's what you want" I said picking up a pure silver blade and walked over one of the three. I drove the blade into the abdomen of the one on the far right. Blood spewed from the wound and some started to drip from his mouth. He coughed and spotted more blood. I removed the blade and he head hung low. I let him survive but only for now since her wasn't the one who spoke.

The who did look pissed that I had stabbed his friend for him not doing anything. "I have found that hurting ones friend tents to do more damage to that person since they simply could have spared their friend pain. Now I'm going to ask again who keeps sending you into my land"

I looked between the other two for an answer. They grit their teeth and pushed their chins higher. "Alright then" I moved toward the already injured rogue but was stopped. I smiled.

"Wait" one said and the other growled at him. "We never saw his face. He always had someone go out and find rogues. But I do know that he is an alpha and has a pack close by"

"See now that was t so hard. But why is he finding rogues to send here"

The other rogue gave him a look telling him to shut his mouth.

"I don't know exactly but I have heard a few say it's for revenge and something about a prophecy and wanting power for him self."

"Ok one last question. Your not a rogue are you" I looked at the young kid who couldn't be more than 17.

"No. I was taken from my pack last year and trained to become a killer though that's not what I want to do. I had to do it or else they would kill me and I hoped that one day I would be able to escape back to my pack."

I walked pack over to my table and grabbed a needle. I emptied the liquid into the kids neck and he hissed in pain.

"This will shut down your wolf for 48 hours and will make you weak and unable to fight" I told him as I unlocked the chains holding him. He fell to the ground and looked at my confused. I motioned for two guards to take him to a cell.

After he left I finished the other two rogues that where left. I got the guards to clean up the mess and dispose the bodies.

I checked my watch and it read six thirty. Elena wants to have dinner at seven so I would be able to keep my promise this time. I hurried back to the pack house and when strait to our floor.  

By the time I got there Elena was setting the table. She looked up at me had smiled. I told her that I was going to wash up quickly before dinner and she nodded.

I grabbed a towel and started a quick shower. I was wreck in my mind trying to think of who the kid could be taking about. But then I though of the kid. I would find out if he's telling me the truth and if he his I will send him to his pack but if not then I'll just have to give him the same fair as the other rogues got.

I stepped out of the bathroom and grabbed a pair of shorts and a shirt and quickly changed. Walking into the dinning room I saw that Elena had already made hers and mine plates and was sitting waiting for me. She was fixing Lilly's dress and I couldn't help but smile at the picture.

I already though of Lilly as my daughter even though it has only been a couple of weeks. I couldn't wait for her to have my own children though.

I walked over to Elena and gave her a quick kiss in the lips. Then kissed the top of Lilly's head and sat down in my own seat. I grabbed one of Elena's hands and grabbed one of Lilly's small ones as Elena did the same. I said grace then we started to eat.
