Jumping down from the last branch I stretch to bring out all the knots. I wasn't all to comfortable sleeping in the tree. I had leaves a sticks pocking at me the whole time. And it doesn't help when you're naked and getting bit on your butt by ants.

I shifted into my horse form and stared walking to a stream that was near by. Bending my head down I gulp down the cool refreshing water. I look at my reflection sadly, why couldn't I just have a normal life. One where I didn't have to hid my form anyone, one where I wasn't taken from my family.

But my thoughts were cut short when I suddenly got this eery feeling, like someone or thing was watching me. Looking around I didn't see, hear, or smell anything out of the normal.

'Maybe we should just get out of here' Onyx suggested.

'Oh come on you big baby don't be such a stress head we completely lost those mutts'

'I knew but still something just doesn't feel right' she started to get really nervous.

'What do you mean' I asked starting to get nervous myself. When she's nervous I know that there is something to really be worried about.

'I don't know it's just a feeling'

'Alright fine' I said and started to make my way out of the creepy forest. I hadn't noticed but the place did seem like it was darker in a way.

I started to get paranoid. It felt like something was chasing me. I started to run wanting out of this place. As soon as I stepped foot out of the woods it was like nothing happened, the feeling went away. But it was replaced with something else sadness, grief, confusion.

In front of me there is a old town. Abandoned and burned to the ground. I could feel the lost souls still lingering around. The saddest part is that I felt connected to them

I walked around looking at burnt buildings. It didn't look recent at all, instead it looked old a few years maybe it's hard to tell. As I walked deeper in to the burnt town I could faintly hear screams of pain in my head.

"So this is that town that our pack durned down a few years back?" a voice asked curiously. The voice sounded familiar.

"Yup along with the horse shifters in it" another said proudly. "Everyone was screaming in pain for their lives." The person laughed.

"And how would you know"

"I was there of course. I through the first flame"

This sent me into a frenzy. How dare he, I knew I felt a connection to the souls here. They were horse shifters like me and he killed them and now he will pay.

I galloped through the maze of burnt home until I came into eyes view of the mutts. The looks on their faces were priceless, shocked that they had found me and that I was coming straight towards them at full speed. I didn't even give them time to react.

Speeding past them I grabbed the one man yanking him off his horse. The three horses spooked and the one that was unoccupied took off from fright. The other two who still had their riders on, lucky them, started after me.

I was quite a distance away from them so I grew the guy up in the air and he shifted on his way down. He landed on all fours and crouched down in an attack position. Growling he pined his ears back against his tan colored neck.

Iv fought mountain lions before so this should be somewhat easy. I paw the ground impatiently and reared. When he lunged at me I spun quickly and kicked him. He landed on the ground and whimpered. I took my chance seeing his weakness and I reared once I reached him and slammed down harm in his front paw. He howled in pain, he lunged again missing terribly, and once again at my butt, bad mistake. I kicked out not quite sure where I hit him at but satisfied with the crunch that came from the impact.

I was about to finish him off when ropes were thrown around my neck pulling me away fro his limb body. I could still hear his heart beating. Lucky son of a bitch. Literally.
