Last horse shifter

I fought every step that they made me take. They only reason why I'm even moving at all is because they have a whip that they either crack in the air or on me if I don't keep moving.

But me being as stubborn as I am I didn't move, so now I have lashes going down my rump. The pain of every whip only makes me more mad not afraid.

It took hours for them to drag me back. Though I couldn't break free from them the whole way here I was glad that I gave them such a hard time.

Walking through their camp the sight saddened me. My herd is here. The mutts had caught them, every single last one.

They were all in pins barely big enough for them to move around in. All of them fighting of just an inch of space to breath. It was heart breaking to watch.

Some mothers were separated from their foals. They called desperately to them, and the foals called helplessly back.

But the sadness quickly turned into more rage. I reared into the sky and kick out my hooves. The ropes that were being held by the wolves were yanked out over their hands.

I went to take off running, I would come back at night for my herd. But I was stopped in my tracks by a dark brown wolf. I looked him dead in the eyes. Hatred steamed from my whole body. I pawed at the ground and bobbed my head with ears pined back.

I want to challenge this wolf but I knew I couldn't or else they would know that I was a shifter. Instead I stayed standing. Pawing at the ground.

The men walked closer to me but suddenly back off. This wolf probably called them off through the link that they shared. We stood there for a few moments challenging each other seeing who would break first. I soon got bored so I reared and charged at him. He didn't budge, I kept going, still didn't move, but that didn't stop me.

He move at the last second, just barely making it out of the way. This left nothing standing in my way. I kept running and didn't look back.

I heard a soft poof sound and if it wasn't for my heightened hearing I more then likely wouldn't have been able to hear it. Not long after the sound was made something bit me in the butt. Though I don't think was a bit because the thing is still lodged in my rear end.

I buck to try and get it out but it didn't work. I soon felt wore out and tired. Strange because I can run for hours with out getting this tired. It got to the point where my legs felt to heavy to move, and my head to heavy to lift. I look to the side slowly and saw something sticking out of my rump and what ever it was I knew its the reason why I feel like this.

The wolves were now able to take me without me fighting. They put me in my own corral since the others were to full. I used up the last of my strength to get me to the center.

A few hours passed and I could feel my energy slowly being regained. I look around to see how the other horses were doing and what the wolves were doing as well. All of the horse seem to be drowsy like me so they must have gotten the same thing that I got.

The wolves on the other hand were as busy as can be. They were moving things around and putting them in some kind of contraption.

I watched them for hours. One was very bossy and mean to some of the others. My guess is that he is the Alpha.

After a few hours my energy seemed to be back to normal so I made up a plan. It's getting darker so within a couple hours time the wolves should be going to sleep and then I can jump this fencing and I'll be free.

'I don't want to wait any longer. I want out of this thing' Onyx snorted

'I know me to'

Agreeing with Onyx I decided not to wait and just get the heck for of here right now. I started to run along the sides to pick up my speed then cut through the center and jumped the fence.

It was pretty high but I still made it. I have always loved jumping especially over high things, it makes me feel like I'm flying. I could really careless about small ones though.

"What the hell!" I heard some one yell

"What are you all just standing there for get your horses you idiots!" I heard the Alpha yelled

I can't go my full speed because if I do then they would know that I was just a normal horse so I had to settle with a ever so slightly faster gallop. Taking a quick glance over my shoulder I don't see them anywhere behind me. There is a place that I know of that no other herds will be at so I decided to head there. It's a forest that is in my herds land.

I entered quickly and an idea popped in my head, well not really Onyx suggested it. I shifted into my naked human form and started to climb a tree. I surprisingly had more balance than I though I would.

All the trees are pretty close together so I was able to move from tree to tree easily. I stopped when I was on a fairly large branch. I was tired and needed to rest and though that it would probably be best to stay up here until day break.
