Okumura Rin laid overtop the cement roof of his and his brother's dorm, staring upwards into the slowly darkening overcast sky with soulful blue eyes. From within his mind, he thought over the events of the past few days, over what he had accomplished, and over what he had lost, but there were things, details within his mind of which he desired to keep from the surface of true thought.

He remembered the man who had raised him as if he were of his own blood, his face stained by the blood that ran down from his mouth, nose, and eyes. That blood, blood of which had only been spent due to words that had fallen from Rin's lips in a fit of rage, annoyance, hurt, and anger. Had he not spoken those words, had he not exclaimed to his father that he was not his son, the man might still be alive today, still breath the putrid air of the world.

Rin gritted his teeth and wiped his eyes of the buildup of fluid that had accumulated during his moment of weakness, deciding to keep the hand there as he let it block out the ever dimming rays of sunlight that filtered their way through the thick mist of the clouds above.

It had been almost a week since it had first happened, since he had discovered himself to not be human, and during the small duration of this realization and denial his life had fallen upside down, no longer resembling what it had once been. There were positives to this, yet none of them were seen through the current pessimistic tinted lenses of which he peered through. Tomorrow would be his second day in school, and he wasn't sure whether or not he should be excited.
The other students were nice enough, although no attempt of conversing or forming comradeship had been returned, but it was hard to stay positive when one's own remaining family disowns you, even if this had been repelled.

Something made contact lightly with the  tiled roof, the sound alerting Rin of the other person's presence. Looking up and sitting quickly, he stared at the figure before him.

"Who are you?" He asked in a slightly snappish voice. The figure smiled, revealing sharp fangs.

"A friend." He stated simply, moving closer without care or being deterred in the slightest. His footsteps seemed to echo in Rin's ears, which confused him as there were no walls on which the sound could bounce off of. His hair was an odd blonde, more of a bumblebee color, and it transcended to fire orange. It was longer than that of most male's yet shorter than a females, being almost fluffy in appearance. His skin appeared to be tinted as though he had a natural tan color, and his eyes were a mix of sunrise orange and yellow. Three odd markings adorned each cheek, seemingly connected to his eyelids.
He was dressed with a dark cloak that ended above his waist, the hood of which being down. Beneath the cloak his clothes where slight obscured, yet the comfortably tight sleeves he wore did seem to go with his jeans.
Due to the fact that the front of the cloak ended above his waist and the lack of looseness in the shirt he wore, Rin could see the almost feminine slopes of his hips. That was an odd trait, yet it was one that not only this other person held. Though not quite as developed, Rin's own body did hold such curves. Now that he thought about it, everyone else who he had spoken with-which was a single person thus far-who had demonic blood seemed to hold this trait.
"And I would like to extend my hand to you and guide your way." He continued. He spoke as if he were well experienced in something, yet he looked to be the same age as Rin. Was he a spirit?

"What kind of guidance?" Rin continued to ask, furrowing his brow slightly in perplexmxent.

"Well, I know that you've just recently began to enter the next stage if your life. You don't know what you are or what you can do, or even the basic necessities for yourself! So, I'm here to help." His voice had risen slightly with pride, a small cartoony sparkle twinkling for a moment as he struck a pose. However, Rin still looked uncertain.
"Look, I'm not going to force you to come with me, but I will be here to guide you." He told, his voice breaking through the silence. He offered his hand with the purpose of shaking the other's, as if for an agreement despite nothing having been offered for him to agree upon.

"You never told me your name." Rin stated, eyes trailing down to the extended hand. The person grin turned almost sadistic, as if there was some kind of unseen joke at play.

"Yours first, please." He responded in an almost singsong voice. Rin quirked a brow at this odd behavior, but decided to go on anyway and be the first to give their name.

"Okumura Rin." He stated bluntly. The grin of the other person twitched into a smirk before diminishing to a kinder expression, though amusement was still oddly present.

"Nice to meet you, Oku."
