The concert itself had been interesting and eye opening, but it was only the first stop they had made. It was the weekend now and, despite the fact that Rin had not told Yukio of his whereabouts, the pair had gone off to multiple other events, other people joining them until they actually qualified as a group rather than a duo. Currently, they were at a rave-dj included-and were doing as one would during such event; dancing to the beat of the electronically music.
The night had transcended from its youth, now being somewhere in the early hours and far away from sunrise, and yet things never slowed down. The next place they ventured to was what seemed to be a party, but where it was located was peculiar to say the least. Rin glanced off of the edge, looking down through a never ending abyss that seemed to defy reality. Someone poked his shoulder, causing him to jump and turn towards the other person. This one had light blonde hair that transcended to a vibrant shade of orange, and was slightly spiky. It was longer in the front than the back and looked rather unkept, but his eyes were like an amber blaze. His pupils glowed far brighter than Taima's normally had, burning brightly through the light shadow of one of the twin towers behind them.
He was smiling, holding up a recording camera, and gave a small laugh, almost a giggle.

"Say hi, Oku" Yuki instructed, the shorter person aiming the lease towards the nephilim. Taima had introduced him to everyone they had met as "Oku" rather than his normal name, which was odd, but the questions as to why had seemed to slip his mind as the evening went on. Yuki snickered mischievously as someone else, a person with almost chestnut colored skin and vibrant green hair, Nico, had jumped up behind Rin and given him bunny ears with his fingers. It was odd, but most of the people Rin had been introduced to were creatures like Taima, some sort of mix between mammal and bird, angel and demon. A person with silvery hair and one blue iris glanced around, brow raised. He seemed to see what it was he had been looking for, for his look of confusion had turned to amusement.
The sound of a loud pop, like that of a champagne bottle opening, sounded nearby, a large explosion of oversized confetti raining down upon the group.

"Taima!" A person a bit taller than Rin exclaimed. This one was also male, though he looked almost feminine. His hair was long, a braid touching his back as it hung from his head, and one large section of his hair graced each side of his neck, down to his pectoral muscles. His hair was a golden color that turned to a sunset orange color, two curtains of such hair acting as his bangs at the sides of his face. Taima laughed excitedly, tossing the large plastic look-alike of an alcoholic bottle to the side and running off, his body a bright blur against the air. Rin laughed as the pair began a ha,e of chase, ending with Elkan on top, and turned away back to the evening. There seemed to be no days here, or rather, no sun. The only indication of how long he had been at this nonsensical nowhere was the lone dinging of a large clock on either of the castle towers, the sound ringing every hour on the hour.
An eruption of light, a sound of "ooo"s and "ahhhhh"s bringing his attention to the fireworks that had begun to erupt above them, shooting off of the floating island and into the void, only to explode for their enjoyment. The show lasted thirty minutes before ending, the last sparks still falling as they dimmed in the sky. Taima handed Rin a small cake-like-treat, winking before scarfing down an entire plate of the same confection. A person leapt up from behind him and wrapped their arms around his neck, hanging behind him and placing their head on his shoulder.

"Hey, Taima, who's this?" The person asked. She was female, her blonde hair looking almost saturated, and her one showing eye was a matching shade of yellow, the other eye being obscured by her hair. She reached over and grabbed on of the treats a server had been holding with what looked to be a large bubble, reeling it in and allowing it to pop above her hand before she swooped in and devoured the treat.

"This is Oku, Oku, this is Veeta." Taima stated, not looking at either of the addressed people as he covered his small plate with a large stack of foods of a wide variety. After scarfing this next meal down, he glanced over, chewing.
"He's my new pet, treat him well."

Never before had Rin spent so much time with people that could maintain his level of energy and endurance, never before had he been so exhausted, and now all he wished to do is sleep. The person who was named Elkan spoke softly with Taima, who nodded in agreement, before approaching Rin calmly, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Come on, let's go. It's time for you to head off to bed." Elkan said kindly, beginning to lead him a small distance away. Another person, who looked to be the same age as Rin, walked nearby, Yuki draped over their back.

"Falling asleep standing up is my thing, not yours. Stealing my thunder, dude." Rin heard the redhead say, huffing in fake and dramatic annoyance before puffing away in a flash of light. The same light overtook him as Elkan teleported him away to some other place, then there was nothing but comforting darkness.

-

Taima poured childishly, annoyed.

'Honestly, it'll be forever until I get my next chance to introduce them!' He thought, huffing in annoyance. He tapped his forehead, allowing the finger to linger, as he spoke to the other recruit he had been grooming, informing him that he would not be able to attend for that evening. Such a shame, too; it has finally become nightfall in the other person's time zone.

Rin arose form his slumber in a surprisingly comfortable bed, one that was not his own. He didn't want to move, he felt warm and comfortable, but he didn't know where he was.

"Mornin'." Elkan's voice cut in, as if oblivious to the momentary turmoil that had befallen the halfbreed. Elkan sat at a desk a bit to the side of the bed, a book in hand and papers stacked neatly along the shelves that were in the area. Now that Rin was looking, books were very much present within the room, shelf after shelf of the stories, ranging from large and thick tomes, to thin short stories. Journals of the modern day, and books looking more akin to those one would find in a library, were all present throughout the room. Doors were on all three sides that were before him, four on the sides of the room, three in front of the room. It was odd, who needed so many rooms? Would they not be far too small to hold anything? What value could such cramps spaces withhold behind those wooden and metal surfaces?
An odd ever changing glow, along with a small multitude of hovering candles, gave the room its dim light, although the desk was illuminated by a bright lamp, the brightest thing in the entire room. The wooden planks of the floor, a dark shade of brown, was covered by a scarlet rug.  What looked like the hide of some kind of animal was draped across the foot of the large bed Rin laid in, another red fabric-a heavy comforter-laying overtop him. Everything seemed to have red and black in it, though gold was also a constant in the room, being seen in the linings and highlights, in the candle holders and door frames. The room felt spacey and yet maintained a comforting feeling, like that of a homey cabin. A table with two chairs lay in one corner, seeming to have been forgotten, a small decorative tablecloth-circular in shape-was set in the center of the wooden surface, a mug with small tendrils if steam lifting from it set on the outer edge of the mat.

"Um... thank you?" Rin said, unsure, as he was handed an outfit, folded neatly as it was passed. Elkan pointed towards a door, a look of complete patience in his face-as if he had done this before-and the door swung open, as if it had never been closed, a light flickering on with the slight fizzle of electricity.

"No problem, part of my job. But that's not the important thing, you just get yourself ready, you've got a big day today." Elkan dismissed with a wave of his hand.

"Big day?" Rin asked, brow furrowing and a slight frown forming on his lips. Elkan titled his head slightly, raising a brow.

"Didn't they tell you?" Elkan asked, his bangs shifting so that one of the curtains of gold obscured vision of his right eye.
"Today, you're being initiated."
