As I layed in bed that night, the only thoughts that would occur were of what had happened moments before. Everytime I tried to think of something else, sudden images of me stuffing food into my mouth, bendingidd over the toilet, clutching my stomach clouded my mind. Deciding that sleep wouldn't come for a while, I turned my music on shuffle, Nickleback playing loudly in my room.
I have an eating disorder
Maybe it's not an eating disorder. Maybe it's just a stage? No.
Once I came to the conclusion that I do have an eating disorder, I began to panic. The possibilitys of what could happen to my job, my friendships, and even my life if people found out scared me to death. They would make me get help, and I don't need help. I can handle this perfectly fine on my own.
Slowly, I drifted off to sleep with reoccurring thoughts swarming in my head.
I woke up the next morning to a very excited Miranda jumping on my bed.
"I'm assuming your leg is better?" I mumbled to her sleepily.
"Yep!" She replied happily, plopping herself on my bed.
"What are you doing here? How did you get in my apartment?" I asked confused. I locked the door last night, no one could have gotten in.
"Oh, Anna has a extra key. Her and Emily are in the kitchen."
I nodded slowly still trying to get up.
"Why are you guys here?" I yawned.
Miranda's face lit up with excitment and I came up with all the possibilitys that the small ball of perfection could be planning.
"It's our 5 year anniversary of being friends! We're gonna celebrate by going to the fair!" Miranda squealed.
My face twists in confusion as I raise my eyebrows in a questioning kind of way. A look of hurt flashes across Miranda's flawless face and I immediately remeber.
On this day, five years ago, I met my 3 best friends at a school meetup.
"Oh!" I jump up.
"Go get ready! Emily is making food in your kitchen, be ready as fast as you can!" Miranda quickly says as she jumps off my bed and run down the hallway.
I shower quickly and through my hair in a messy bun. I throw on a pair of ripped jeans, a worn out Metallica tee shirt and a large plaid shirt around my waist and put on makeup as fast as I can. As I walk to the living area I grab my white and black converse and a pair of socks.
"Good morning sunshine lollipop sweetheart buttercup." Emily sang to me while she popped up some toast.
"G'morning" I grumbled.
They all looked beautiful today. Emily looked innocent as ever in a floral sun dress with a flower crown in her dark brown locks. Miranda was wearing high waisted shorts with a tribal printed crop tee shirt. Of course Miranda was wearing Doc Martens, when isn't she? Anna was wearing strapless playsuit with sandals.
"C'mon girl eat up!" Anna said in a over exaggerating Italian accent.
I couldn't just decline, they'd know something was up right away.
I pushed my food around when they weren't looking so it looked like I had eaten something. Once I said I was done, Anna looked at me skeptically but quickly diverted her attention back to Emilys story about the little girl that had asked for a copy of To Kill A Mockingbird.
One the long drive to the Fair Grounds we blasted Blink 182 and Sex Pistols, singing along obnoxiously.
That's another reason we all get along with Michael, Calum, Ashton and Luke so well, we all have incredibly similar tastes in music.
Once we got to our destination, we quickly scrambled to get our tickets and wristbands to avoid a large crowd.
We walked around playing some arcade games for a while and won eachother some cute stuffed toys.
When it got the time when we wanted to go on the rides, Anna started to freak out. She was slightly frightened of anything that moves that she is not in control of, ending up in a fear of the ferris we were about to go on.
"Anna you'll be fine stop being such a pussy." I snapped at her in a fake bitchy tone.
She groaned but agreed to go on just one ride with us.
Basically the day at the Fair consisted of us awing over cute little kids and playing stupid arcade games to win tokens that we ended up giving to some little kids and winning eachother cute gifts. We even got Anna to go on a few rides with us after we chased her around for a good 20 minutes. I hadn't eaten all day and I got exercise. I could tell I was dropping weight, but it was still a bit hard for other people to notice.
There was about two hours left until the sun would start to set and we were slowly walking around the Fair Grounds. Miranda suddenly stopped after looking up from her phone for the first time in a few minutes. We had been talking about Emily and Calums reletionship. We all looked at Miranda worried and confused until she started to laugh.
"What?" Emily, Anna and I said in unison.
"Have you guys checked your phones? Or did they not tell you?" Miranda laughed.
"No, I left my phone in the car. What happened!?" I asked trying to look at her phone screen. Emily had lady her phone at Calums place the night before and Anna's phone was currently getting fixed after she stupidly ruined it while texting in the shower.
"Ashton, Calum, Luke and Michael." She struggled to say through her giggles.
We loudly urged her on earning weird looks from people walking peacefully by.
"They." She laughed again loudly. "They got arrested for driving battery
powered cars for little kids on a public road." Once te words left her mouth, we looked at eachother worriedly for a solid 2 minutes before bursting into a fit of giggles. And believe me, it felt amazing.hay goois :--) I UPDATED AYE anyway it would be amazing if y'all could check out Emily and Miranda's YouTube channel???
