Have we met? (Kisame x reader: Modern)

30. Saviour

Kisame had grabbed the drinks and was looking for you. He looked down most of the aisles and froze when he heard something that made his eyes widen. "K-Kisame!". He put the drinks down and ran in the direction of your voice. He made it to the confectionary aisle and saw you pinned to the wall by an unknown guy. Anger flowed through him and he sprinted over, ripping the guy off of you. Kisame pulled you to his chest and sent a deadly glare to the guy. "Leave now", he demands. The guys held his hands up as if to surrender, his smirk still visible. "Sorry dude didn't know she had a boyfriend". Kisame ignored his comment and watched as he walked away, holding you protectively to his chest.

Once he was gone Kisame let go of you allowed you to take a step away from him. You look up at him and give a sad smile. "Thank you Kisame... you've saved me once again". He cocks his head to the side and raises an eyebrow. "Again?". You sigh and pick up the bag of marshmallows you had dropped. "I'll tell you after".

You both paid for your items and left the store in silence. You look up at Kisame and notice the concerned expression on his face. You let out a nervous giggle, gathering his attention. He looks down and meets your gaze. "Once again, thank you Kisame". "Uh yeah, no problem". After that it went silent, you wanted to tell him about that time where he saved you from Kimimaro but whenever you opened your mouth no sound came out. You were starting to get annoyed at yourself, I'm just gonna do it! "It happened in high school, I had a friend walking me home. I thought I could trust them but they betrayed me and tried to rape me. He pushed me into an alleyway and trapped me between himself and the wall. I thought he was going to do it and there was no one around to help but... you saved me". You look up and notice Kisame looking a little shocked. "You probably don't remem-". "No, I do". You hold his gaze and send a sad smile. "I was walking around Konoha after finding that Zabuza had slept with the girl I liked. I was really angry and saw you and your friend walking. To be honest, the two of you looked like a couple, laughing and smiling. But then I noticed him push you into the alleyway and  I heard you calling for help. I couldn't let someone do that so I rushed in and ripped him off of you. I remember calling out to you but you seemed to not hear and then you passed out. I ran you all the way to the hospital, I actually came to visit you the next day but you had friends with you and I didn't want to disturb you". 

You smile lightly at the ground. "I wanted to thank you sooner but um yeah, I didn't know where to look. To be honest...I was a bit of a fan. I'd come out and watch a couple of your games when you were still playing for Kirigakure". He seemed surprised. "Wow, didn't know I had fans", he says with a playful smirk. You can't help but roll your eyes. Your cheeks tinted a light pink just thinking about it. "But seriously though, when I found out you were on this team I was really excited. I mean... I've had fun getting to know you and stuff. I spent so long watching from the sidelines and it was nice to actually get to meet you and be... I dunno, noticed?". Kisame sends me a sideways glance. "That's where you're wrong". You raise an eyebrow and meet his gaze. "What?". "I did notice you, I thought you were there for someone else though. When I saw you at our training the first time I was a little surprised. It had been about 5 years since I had last seen you". You smiled down at the ground and noticed that you had returned to the beach house. Just as Kisame was about to walk up the few steps, you stopped him by placing your hand on his shoulder. "What is it?", he asks. You walk up a few steps, turning to face him now being at his height. You lent forward and gently kissed his cheek. "Thank you again, Kisame. For today and back then too". He just stares at me with pink cheeks. "Uh y-yeah no problem". You then skip inside, bumping into Ino in the hallway. "There you are! Dinner's almost ready, we need your help to grab stuff". You quickly nod and ran inside, beginning to carry stuff from the kitchen to where we were all eating.

The rest of the night went smoothly. You sat inbetween Shisui and Rin, despite some of the others for argued for the seats beside you. After dinner you helped with the dishes and headed down to the beach where most of the guy were, having already started the bonfire. Heat radiated off the large fire, warming you to the core. You pulled out the marshmallows you had bought and shared them around, roasting them over the flames. Your smile never left your face the entire night, it felt like you were in high school again. Being here with Itachi and Ino as well as the others, it was all so much fun. And now... Kisame was here. Your long time crush and you kissed him on the cheek, just the thought of it made you feel super embarrassed. Hopefully you hadn't completely humiliated yourself, you don't think he minded. You let a long sigh as the flames died down in the large stone pit. "That's enough fire for tonight", Madara chuckles. You all nod and begin heading back to the beach house.

Once back you trudged to your room and collapsed on your bed, letting out a loud groan. "What's up with you?", Ino asks, closing the door. Rin was already in the room, changing into her pajamas. "I did something super embarrassing". "What?!", Ino squeals, wanting to know badly. "Was it when you kissed Kisame on the cheek?", Rin asked. Your eyes widen and your head snaps up. "How did you know?". Rin blushed and looked down at her lap as she played with her fingers. "I saw the two of you arrive back at the house, I was going to run over and greet you but it looking like you two were having a moment. Then you climbed the stairs and kissed him on the cheek". Your face turned bright red so your grabbed your pillow and hid it. "Aw, are you embarrassed?", Ino teases. You groan and lay back on your bed. "Shut up, I just wanna go to sleep". Ino giggles loudly and then leaves to take off her makeup.

Rin sat on her bed quietly, occassionally looking over at you. "Hey um (Y/n)?", she calls. You turn your face so you're looking at her. "Yeah, what's up?". "I was wondering if you liked Kisame, you two seem close". You sigh and nod slowly. "I do, I have for a long time but now that I actually know him I really really do". You notice a small smile gracing her lips. "If you two went out then could you go on a double date with me and Tobi?", she asks hopefully. You nod. "Of course, I promise I will drag Kisame with me and we'll go on a double date". Rin giggled and lay back on her bed just as Ino entered the room. "Everyone ready for lights off?", she questions. You nod and an excitable 'yep' is heard from Rin. The light switch is flicked off and we all climb under our covers. "Good night", Rin calls. You let out a long sigh and smile. "Good night". Today was too eventful for you but overall it was fun, you were just gratful that Kisame got to be apart of it.

Well you kinda confessed to Kisame about being his fan but he seemed chill about it. Also the kiss on the cheek *Internal screaming*. Did you hear something? Anyway I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Vote and follow me for more. Thank ya XD
