Chapter 19- happy news

It took me a couple minutes, but I finally got Polly to calm down.  "Would you like to know the genders?" The doctor asked.  "Yes, yes I would." Polly said more excited then scared know.  "Your going to have a girl and a boy!" Polly started to cry again, but I couldn't judge because I was in tears to.  We finished our crying session and Polly got changed back into her clothes.  "You ready to go sweetie?" I asked.  "Ya lets go." We got in the car and Polly face was still in surprise mode.  I grabbed her hand and asked "Do you want to go to Pops for lunch?" It took her a minute to answer.  "Ya that sounds good." We arrived at Pops and FP showed us to a table.  Usually you seat yourself, but when they are busy they sit you down.  "What can I get you ladies?" Fp was staring at me with confusion because me and Polly could not stop smiling.  "I will take a hamburger and Polly will have chili cheese fries." I answered him.  "Ok whats up you seem so happy?" He finally asked me. "Polly is having twins!" I screamed in a whisper voice.  "That is amazing!" He leaned in and gave me a hug and then Polly.  He left to get our waters.  He had to attend to another table first, but then he came right back.  "So, do you know the gender?" "Yes we do I am having a boy and a girl!" Polly answered him.  "Wow that's amazing.  Now I'm guessing there is going to be a lot of baby shopping after this?" "No not yet we are waiting for Betty to get home from school." I answered him.  Pop rang the bell, so Fp had to go give someone their food.  Me and Polly were just so excited we decided to eat our food than go pick Betty up early from school.  Fp brought us out our food.  "Really congrats Polly." "Thank you Fp." Polly replied.  Me and Polly ate then texted Betty. "Hey we are coming to get you, so be ready we have big news!" Betty texted back immediately. "Ok I will be ready." We got to the school and got Betty.  "So, what is the big news?" Betty asked getting into the car.  "Im having twins!" Polly yelled with excitement.  "Oh my gosh no way!" "Yes way." Polly responded laughing.  "What is the gender?" Betty asked. "I am having a girl and a boy." We were all so excited.  After we calmed down we went shopping since we didn't have much yet.  At our first store we really didn't find much, but we found some bassinets for the twins.  We mostly focused on the main necessities for today.  After we were done shopping me and Betty carried in all the stuff and Polly went and laid down. "Would either of you girls like something special for dinner I am running to the store?" "No mom were good, but can you get some orange juice Polly drank it all." "Ya I will grab some." I headed out the door and got in my car.  I sat there for a moment just thinking about life and the mysterious ways it works.  I was so happy for Polly and that she was excited.  I drove to the store to get food for the rest of the week and the girls juice.  After the store I stopped by Pops to see Fp.  He was getting in his truck when I caught him.  I went up and knocked on his window.  "Hey." He jumped a little. "Hey alice.  What are you doing here?" "I just came to see my boy is that so bad." He hopped out of the truck and gave me a kiss.  "Thank you for coming to see me.  I missed you." He gave me another kiss.  "I missed you to." We stood by the truck and kissed.  After awhile I broke it.  "Why did you do that?" he said with a pouty lip.  "I have to get home to the girls I have groceries."  I gave him one more kiss and left.  I arrived back home.  "Hey girls." I said coming inside. "Hey mom what took so long?" betty asked me.  "Oh there was a lot of people at the store." I went into the kitchen and Polly was there.  "Hey Polly." I said putting the groceries away.  "Hey mom?" Polly was looking at me.  I looked over at her waiting for her to finish the sentence and she signaled me to clean up my lipstick.  "Did you sample some things at the store?" She laughed.  I gave her a smirk then started cooking dinner.  "Hey mom can Jughead eat with us tonight Fp is working graveyard." Betty said yelling into the kitchen.  "Ya sure honey just tell him to come whenever."  ten minutes later there was a knock.  "Hey Juggy." Betty said letting Jughead inside.  "Hey Betty Hi mrs. Smith." Betty and Jughead sat down on the couch with Polly. "Oh Jug I never told you Polly is having twins!" "Wow really congrats Polly!" "Thanks Jug, but I am ready for this so be over." Polly said.  "Dinner is ready." I called from the kitchen.  The kids sat down at the table as I put the food down.  "So, Polly when is your due date?" Jughead asked.  "It should be in two weeks, but the doctor said I will probably be a little late." "Oh I'm sorry I can't wait to meet them." "Have you thought about names yet?" "No we actually haven't." Polly said.  "If it was a boy I wanted it to be Jason at first." We all looked at Polly with our mouths open.  Jason is the father of the baby.  Polly's ex boyfriend.  As soon as he found out about the baby he skipped town and left Polly.  "But, know I will never punish my kid that way." She added.  We all gave out a little giggle.  "How about alana and axel." Betty said.  "I was actually picked out a girl and a boy name before I knew I was going to get one of each and the names were Juniper and Dogwood." We all looked around the table and did not say a word.  "Do you like them?" polly asked.  "Well they are very unique." I said trying to be polite.  Polly always loved unique names.  Betty and jughead couldn't help but smile at each other trying not to laugh.  "What about Callie and colton." "i like those where did you come up with those?" Jughead asked betty.  "I have just alway liked them." She said shrugging her shoulders.  "We can think about it more later."  We finished eating dinner and Betty walked Jughead out to his bike.  I cleaned up the kitchen and it was getting late so, the girls went up to bed, but I had other plans for the rest of the night...
