"Do you think this weekend we will be allowed to relax?" Betty questioned waking up a sleepy jughead next to her. "I hope so. We have had enough drama for now." He sighed and sunk into the pillows. "You might want to sneak back into your room before my mom comes." She chuckled and placed a sweet kiss to his cheek. "You right." He placed one last kiss getting up to leave. "Good morning kids." I cheered walking into Betty's room. "Hi mrs.s" Jug quietly walked passed me and downstairs. "Does he still think I'm mad at him for sleeping in here." I chucked and laid next to Betty. "I let him think that." She smirked. "Well, I came in here because I need your snooping skills and you can't tell Jughead." I became quiet. "What's wrong?" Betty questioned. "Nothing. It's just that the boys have been dealing with a lot of drama, so I was hoping we could take them on a trip to relax, but I have a surprise for them." I smiled widely. "What is it?" Her eyes lit up with curiosity. "Jellybean." I jumped out of the bed and ran back into my room. "Mom!" Betty called or after me. I slammed the door before she could come in. "We will continue this talk later!" I yelled through the door. "Good morning?" FP laughed confused at the scene I just created. "A very good morning indeed." I smiled and climbed into bed. "I'm happy your happy, but why?"
"We are going to have a relaxing weekend just as a family." I hummed and snuggled into him. "Where are we going?" He asked. "I think camping is a good idea." I shrugged and grabbed our bags out of the closet. "Your packing already?"
"Yes. We are leaving today because we have a three day weekend." I confirmed "I'll go tell the kids." Both of the kids were downstairs, so luckily for me I only had to tell the plan once. "Kids I have some news."
"Why's are you so happy?" Betty chuckled. "Because we are going camping, so pack your bags right know and we will eat on the road." I assured the kids upstairs. "You almost done?" I asked FP walking back into the room. "Do you think I am?" FP questioned showing that he hadn't left the bed yet. "Oh come on sleepy. I will make it up to you when we get there." I smirked. "Fine." He sighed and started packing. "It will be worth your while." I purred and pecked his cheek. He chuckled and continued packing. "Also where we are camping there's a lake so pack swim trunks." FP nodded and I started packing. After we finished up FP brought our bags downstairs and I helped the kids pack up the last of their stuff. "Ok we are all ready." Betty grabbed her phone. "Jug you got the bags?"
"Ya right behind you." The kids and I came downstairs and the men loaded the car. "So are we ever going to talk about jellybean?" Betty questioned pulling me into the kitchen. "Not now, but I just really want jellybean to come and see her dad and brother. It's been...What ten years."
"How would we get her?" Betty questioned packing snacks for the road. "I may know where Gladys lives and may have emailed her off of your phone." I scrunched together ready to be yelled at. "You really did that." Betty burst into laughter. I nodded my head yes surprised at her reaction. "And what did Gladys say?"
"Well she knows you and the boys are going camping. Not me though and she is dropping Jellybean off at the campsite, so we will go get her, well you will and I will hide until she leaves." I smiled thinking how well thought out my plan is. "I'm in." Betty smiled and we joined the men in the truck. "So what brought on the sudden thought of camping?" Jughead groaned front the backseat. "I am just in a happy mood I have my memory back and a little one on the way. I'm sorry Jug is it ok if I talk about the baby?" I asked backtracking a little. "It's fine just...try to tone it down a little." He chucked and I nodded. "Well I'm glad we get to chill for the weekend and I brought fishing poles!" FP cheered and jughead and I groaned. "I will be happy to fish with you mr.Jones." Betty smiled bringing FP's smile back to his face.
After a long car ride, we finally made it to the camp ground. There weren't much people there, which worked in our favor for a lake front view. "Alright Jug, Betty will you be alright to set the tents up?" FP questioned setting the gear out of the truck. "We will be fine thank you." Betty took the gear. "Which tent did you bring for us?" I questioned looking in the tuck bed. "The biggest one we had." FP smirked and pulled out the bag. "Good thinking." I nodded and started unpacking the rest of the bags while FP sat up the tent. "Why do you guys have that big of a tent." Jug complained finishing up there house for the weekend. "You got the second biggest tent calm down." FP huffed and placed our bags inside. "You don't need that much moving space." Jughead kept his complaining consistent. "Your right we don't need that much, but it's more fun that way." He smirked watching the kids faces turn into disgust. "Jughead make one more complain and the jokes will get worse." FP warned zipping our tent. "Well that should leave us about an hour of alone time." FP plopped down onto the air mattress pulling me in. "This is nice." I hummed and snuggled in close. "Mom will you come with me to the store I need something." Betty broke the silence. "Be right there." I sighed and kissed FP goodbye. "What do you need?" I questioned driving back to the store a couple miles back. "Well I had Gladys meet us there instead." She smirked. "This is great Betty thank you for tagging along." I squeezed her hand pulling into the store. "Ok I am going to go into the store call me when Gladys leaves." I smiled and left Betty to do the job. "Betty hi it's nice to meet you. I'm surprised Jughead didn't come with you." Jellybean smiled putting her bags in the truck. "They don't know your here it's a surprise." Betty giggled. "Where's your mom?" She questioned. "She doesn't really like the town of riverdale, well the people in it, so she just dropped me off." Jelly shrugged and jumped in the front. "Well ok, let me just get my mom."
Betty walked into the store and drug me out. "Jellybean this is my mom Alice." She introduced us. "Hi." She smiled shyly. "Hi sweetie it's nice to meet you." I smiled back. "You want some candy. I had a sweet tooth." I chuckled and gave her a bag. "Thanks Alice." She smiled sweetly just like her dad and brother. The drive was pretty quiet on the way back, but the best part was coming. The faces Jughead and FP will make when they see Jellybean is here.
