Chapter 63: Replaced?

~Luna~

Mommy was almost ready to have the baby. I was really excited to have a baby sister or baby brother. I got up at walked over to my dresser on my tiptoes because the floor was cold. I had wood floors in my room. I opened the top drawer which had my dresses in it, I picked one out and put it on. It had flamingos on it and little palm tree leaves. I stripped off my pajamas and threw them into my laundry hamper. I pulled the dress over my head and then ran down the stairs.

"Mommy?" I called out to her.

"Yeah, sweetheart?" I could hear her nearby but I didn't know where she was.

"Where are you?" I asked.

"I'm in office, babe!" She called back to me.
I walked into the office and looked at her.
She turned around in the chair and a huge smile spread across her face.
"Awww, you look so adorable!" She said as she reached out for me.
~Tessa~
I reached out for Luna. She had on a little sun dress with flamingos and palm tree leaves on it. She looked unbelievably cute.
She walked into my arms and I picked her up and put her on my lap. I snuggled her close and kissed her cheek twice.
"Thank you mommy," she said as she hugged me.
"You're welcome!" I said happily.
"Can you do two pigtails please?" She asked me.
"Yes, I can!" I said as I stood up with her still in my arms as I made my way over to the downstairs bathroom.
I gently set her down and did two pigtails on the top of her head. Her hair was getting so long, and I loved it.
"There, is that good?" I asked her as she checked herself out in the mirror.
"Yes! Thank you!" She said turning around to hug me.
"You're welcome!" I said hugging her back.
"Can I take your picture?" I asked her.
"Sure! Do you wanna take it outside?" She asked me.
"That's a great idea!" I said as we walked out to the backyard.
She skipped to the back by some bushes and turned to me again.
I caught up with her and pulled out my phone.
"Smile!" I said as I pointed the camera at her. She smiled cheekily and tilted her head onto one shoulder.
I took the picture and she ran over to see it.
"You're so cute, Luna!" I said to her.
"That's a good picture!" She said happily.
"Yes, it is!" I said back in the same tone.
Suddenly I felt a pain in my stomach. I knew I was about to have the baby.
"Okay, Luna. Could you please go get daddy and tell him I'm having the baby?" I said looking in her eyes to let her know I was serious.
Her eyes widened and she nodded then ran inside.
Finn rushed outside and helped me to the car and we drove to the hospital.
"Hi, I'm Finn, this is my fiancé Tessa and this is our daughter Luna. My wife is going into labor. We need a room right away," he explained. They checked us in and got me into a room pretty quickly.
~An Hour Later~
The nurse came in to check my dilation and I was ready to deliver now after we had to do some waiting.
"Okay, Tessa, you can start pushing whenever you're ready," the OBGYN said. 
I pushed once and then started to cry.
"Ugh, it hurts," I said.
"I know, but the sooner and more you push, the sooner the baby will be out," Finn said as he kissed my head and then grabbed my hand and kissed it.
I nodded and pushed again a few more times as hard as I could. It hurt but I was trying my hardest to get the baby out quickly.
"Good! We see the head! Keep going!" The other nurse said.
I pushed again a few times and then felt the head pass. I moaned in pain and then felt the rest of the body pass through with a few more small pushes.
"Congratulations, Tessa, it's a boy!" The OBGYN said to us as she held him up for us to see before whisking him away to check him.
Shortly after that, she handed me him all wrapped up in a little blue blanket.
"Hi, baby boy..." I said as I cried a little. Tears of joy and relief.
"You're so handsome...and I'm gonna love you sooo much," I said. He opened his eyes then and looked up at me. My heart melted. I looked up at Finn.
"You wanna hold him?" I asked gently. He nodded and gently took our new baby into his hands.
"Hey, dude...I'm excited to finally meet you," he said quietly as he looked down at him.
"Do we have a name yet?" One of the nurses asked.
I looked at Finn and then at the baby and back at the nurse.
"We were thinking River for the first name," I said as I smiled a little.
"Okay, anything for the middle name?" She asked. I looked at Finn.
"You can pick it," he said softly as he smiled at me.
"I think River Finley fits," I smiled at Finn. He smiled back.
"That's a beautiful name," the nurse said as she wrote it down on a sheet of paper for the birth certificate.
~The Next Day~
Luna came today, she stayed home with Finn's brother, Wesley, so that she wouldn't be scared while I was giving birth to the baby. She walked in and gasped a little.
"Is that the baby?" She asked quietly.
"Mhm, you wanna come see him?" I asked just as quietly as she did.
"It's a boy?" She asked as she cane over slowly and looked at the sleeping boy in my arms.
"Yes, this is your new baby brother," I said.
"What's his name?" She asked curiously.
"River Finley Adams," I said.
"I love that name," she said happily.
"Thank you,"
"You're welcome. Can I hold him when he wakes up?" She asked.
"Yes, you can," I said.
Later Luna held River and I took some pictures. Then we got to take him home. It was so good to take him home. I was so happy to finally have my baby boy.
