Chapter 15- Apology Accepted?

~Pearl's POV~
I jump out of bed with my heart beating out of my chest. What's going to happen at work today?! I'm so nervous..
I don't want anything to happen to us..
"You're up this early?" Marina questions me.
"Yeah. What time is it?" I ask.
"Uhh.. 4 AM.."
"Oh um sorry. I'll go back to sleep.." I yawn.
"No you don't have to. I'll be bored without you awake. I can't fall back asleep." She pouts.
"Oh okay then.."
She cuddles with me.
"I'm worried about work." I whisper in her ear.
"Still? It will be okay. Trust me. If anything does happen, we will find a solution." She places a kiss on my forehead.
"Thank you, Marina."
She makes everything better.
"We have 2 hours to spare until we have to get ready for work." I say.
"How do you want to spend them?" Marina asks as she traces her soft hand against my face.
"I don't care. Your choice." I reply.
"Hmm.. How about we sing..?" She suggests.
"I don't want to wake up our neighbors, but sure!" I exclaim.
We both sit up on the bed.
Marina softly starts singing Acid Hues.
I'm so in love with her voice. It's so.. calming.
I start to sing along with her.
We finish off the song.
"You are really good, Pearl!"
"You too!"
She hugs me.
"Okay. So I have a new song that I just finished writing. Here's your lyrics." Marina hands me a sheet of paper.
I look down at it.
"So I guess we'll practice singing it now." She says.
I nod my head.
She brings her keytar out of the closet.
"Woah! I never knew you could play that!" I exclaim.
"Yeah I can. Now let's start."
She starts the song off.
I start smiling when I hear her beautiful voice.
I sing my parts. Oh gosh I sound so horrible.
Then it ends. I feel like I did a bad job..
"How do you like the lyrics? They're dedicated to you." Marina asks.
"Aww. They're perfect. But I think I'm going to need a lot more practice.." I sigh.
"That's fine. You were pretty good though."
I smile.
"Wanna try singing it again?" Marina wonders.
"Uh, sure!" I exclaim.
We practice and practice until the clock strikes 6 AM.
"Okay that's enough. We need to get ready for work." I say.
"Oh yeah.. I forgot about work.." Marina sighs.
I walk into my room to get changed. Marina does the same.
When I get into my outfit, I run downstairs and eat some egg Marina had ready for me.
Mmm nutrition.
Marina pours me some milk and hands it to me.
Wait..
"MARINA WHY IS THIS IN A SIPPY CUP?!" I scream.
"Because I don't want you to spill a glass. And you're my little baby girl!" She squeals.
"Is that a kink or something?" I ask.
"Pearl, again?!" She exclaims.
I laugh and continue eating.
I drink all of the milk in the sippy cup.
"Good girl! You ate all of your food!" Marina pats me on my head and laughs.
I glare at her and giggle.
I put my dirty plate in the sink for Marina to clean later.
"You ready for work now?" She asks me.
I nod my head and we begin to walk outside and to the building.
I completely got my mind off of everything that happened yesterday until I see a crowd full of fans.
Oh god.
"WE ARE SORRY!" Everyone yells.
What-
I wasn't really expecting that at all.
I see someone walk up to Marina.
"I told them to apologize. You're welcome." The inkling bows down to Marina and walks away.
"Oh um-" Marina stutters.
I stare at the crowd for a little while until everyone walks away like nothing happened.
I sigh, take Marina's hand and walk into our studio.
That was awkward..
I sit down, we start recording, blah blah blah.
There's still more fans outside than usual.
They're just staring at us.
It's kind of weird..
"Um.. So.. I'm still angry that everyone knows we're in a relationship now.." I groan.
"Well, they were going to find out sooner or later." Marina sighs.
"Well that's what being famous is like.."
Silence then fills the room as we awkwardly stare at each other.
"You know what Pearl? I have an idea! We can record our song today!" Marina squeals.
"Okay that sounds fine."
She nods her head.
Unexpectedly, she picks me up and starts running to the recording studio, smiling.
What the heck is she doing?
She must be pretty excited since we haven't recorded a song in awhile.
We go into the studio and sit down at our seats.
Marina brings out the sheets of lyrics.
She hands a copy to me.
I study them.
Wow. These are some great lyrics.
"I'll super jump straight into your heart, nothing will ever keep us apart!"
She did say the song was dedicated to me.. That's so cute of her to do.
"Okay, you ready to start?" Marina asks.
"Yeet"
We start singing our hearts out.
Of course we didn't finish it in one try.
It took about 50 times to make it sound perfect.
"UGH! I'm so tired of this.. I can barely even speak." Marina groans.
"Same with me. But we're finished singing now so.."
"Well I got the beat for the song ready so all I have to do is add the vocals." She turns her chair to face her laptop.
I'm so glad that I'm done singing for today. That was so tiring.
Marina faces me and smiles.
"IT'S FINISHED!" She shouts and starts playing the song.
This actually sounds really good! I love it!
"Now we gotta wait for a release date.." I sigh.
"Yeah.. Anyways, I'm so proud of you! Your voice is wonderful!"
She goes to sit in my lap and gives me thousands of kisses.
"Ahh Marina! I love you so much!" I hug her.
