when im gone
you'll be older
when im gone
they'd be no one to hold her
————————Finn shook Millie awake, excited to see her eyes stare back into his. When she did, he could of swore that his balls jumped back into his stomach.
"You're back." She smiled, rubbing her eyes and sitting up a bit.
"I sure am." He cheekily smiled back.
"And you're drunk."
"I sure am." Finn then repeated, laughing out loud after he realised that he already said that sentence. "I'm happy you're here."
Millie smiled, looking down as she ran her hands though her messy hair. "Me too. Now, what're we gonna do with your drunk ass?"
"Maybe order food?"
So that was it. It was weird that there was nothing weird about it. It was like the old times, no awkward tension in the air or no awkward silences that was drowned out by the sound of the gang of That 70's Show, laughing and smoking weed in the basement.
They ate pizza, they reminisced, they laughed and Millie could've swore that she felt like she was about to cry.
She was happy.
She needed this.
So when they both were about to sleep, they were facing each other and just - staring. Millie shifted under his gaze but she dared not to look away. It was like his eyes were a once in a lifetime opportunity that she didn't want to look away from, afraid that she'll never encounter such a feeling again.
But there was a rush, there was a thrill of just laying within his bed with him. A strange thrill that wasn't new.
Millie's breathing was unsteady and shaky, causing her to rip her gaze from Finn and turn her back towards him, staring at the wall and squeezing her eyes shut before a tear escaped them.
Finn sighed, causing his breath to blow on Millie's neck. She shivered, wiping away her silent tears. She missed how she was with him, she ached to have them right at this minute. To cuddle him and for him to have his nose nuzzled into her neck in the morning or her cheek to be squashed on this side. Or her leg wrapped over his waist as she took spooning to a whole new level.
She was always the big spoon.
He then finally faced the other way, too, causing them to become back to back. Their bodies touched ever so lightly that they could feel the friction developing between them. Like an invisible bubble pulling them closer which made it so much harder for them to fight against.
That 70's Show played in the background and Millie tried so hard to focus on it instead of the sound of Finn's breathing.
"Well, damn Donna! If you can see a future for yourself without me and that doesn't like brake your heart, then I-we're not doing what I thought we were doing here and you know what? Maybe we shouldn't be together at all." Eric shouted, making the tension in the air more thick than it already was.
"Wait a minute." Donna whispered as she paused. Shuffling came from the TV and Millie watched these episodes so many times that she already knows that she's climbing down from the Vista-Cruiser. "Are you breaking up with me?"
