'cause you're the
best mistake I've ever made
but we hold on
————————"Well, he wanted to take me out today, but I told him Wednesday. I wanna kind of pull on this starting over thing again." Millie said, ruffling her hair as she looked at her outfit in her full length mirror.
"I like this idea, I'm also loving the fact that you wanna start fresh, it's healthy."
Millie smiled and then hummed at her statement as Sadie couldn't see her smiling over the phone.
"Me too, have you left?"
"Leaving now, see you in 5." Sadie said, hanging up the phone just as Millie heard her closing her front door in the back ground.
Millie looked at her outfit in the mirror and smiled. She was wearing a plain denim skirt with a long sleeved plain black, v-neck top tucked into it. A black belt with a cute buckle occupied the skirt and her black converse worked well with her top.
Her hair was down in its natural curls, she loved the fact that it finally just went passed her shoulders. Her eyelashes were curled up and only had on Vaseline to make her lips glossy.
She grabbed her plain black shoulder bag and her phone as she skipped downstairs and looked in the fridge. She closed it with a groan, there was nothing in their she fancied.
She then sat on the stool, awaiting Sadie's arrival. She hadn't seen Finn in 3 days, nor have they texted or interacted on social media.
It was the first day back at school and being the compulsive person that she is, Millie checked her bag around 4 times to make sure she had everything she needed.
During her 5th examination, she heard a horn beep outside. She made sure she put her phone in the bag before leaving the house and locking the door behind her. Her parents come back today from their couple of days away for her fathers birthday, so Millie made sure everything was cleaned and placed the way it should be.
"Heya." Sadie chirped as Millie climbed in the passenger seat. "You look cute."
"You too." Millie smiled, looking at Sadie's outfit. Sadie was wearing dark-washed, blue, high waisted ripped jeans and a cute, white, long sleeved cropped top that complimented and clashed with her hair perfectly. "How long have we got?"
"Until first period?" Sadie asked and Millie simply nodded her head. Sadie looked at her phone and nodded. "Exactly 38 minutes."
"Can we get some food? I'm starving."
"You read my mind." Sadie bumped Millie's arm with hers as she drove out of the drive way and towards the cute breakfast place they always go to with the boys.
After ordering one stack of pancakes to share, they decided to head towards the school. Once they parked up, they walked in side by side, smiling at some of the students they knew or recognised. It was that half smile where you can't be bothered to speak, but you still want to try and be polite.
Their lockers were two lockers apart. So when they were putting their books in their rightful places for the semester, it was easy for them to talk.
