It was Tuesday night and after school Abby rushed home with Michelle.
"Oh gosh! This is my first date i don't know what to do!" Michelle whimpered throwing yet another dress onto the bed. Abigail shook her head pondering what to do.
"Well Luke used to like girls that wore t-shirts and jeans," Abby shrugged. Michelle looked at her new friend like she's grown a second head. "You're right! Totally not to wear on a first date," Abby knowingly said.
Michelle sighed, "What if... What if I thought this entire thing was bigger than it actually is. What if Luke doesn't actually like me? Maybe it just as-
"Don't you dare say 'friends!'" Abigail scolded. Michelle buried herself in her bunch of dresses scattered all over the floor. "Listen Bae!" Abby pep talked, "You did not just become friends with Luke LaVale for nothing right?" Michelle shook her head. "And he did not just ask you over for dinner as friends right?" Abby asked forcefully. Michelle shook her head. "And you especially did not just make it through a whole day of school thinking about tonight, just to sit here and mope around wondering if Luke LaVale crazy about you or not, RIGHT?" Abby said like an army officer.
"No!!" Michelle yelled back determined. "Then get your sad butt up and go make yourself hot for your date!" Abby commanded.
                              **Currently at Luke's House**
"Oh no!" Luke yelled running over to the oven when he smelled a tint of burning. He pulled it out and set it on the cooling rack, peering over his garlic bread that he baked. "It'll have to do," he shrugged. Suddenly the pot on the stove started bubbling over and he ran over uncovering the pot, burning his knuckles on the way.
"Oh s-" he stopped himself before finishing. He mumbled a prayer under his breath, "God please don't let me screw things up tonight! Or burn the house down."
His mom was out working late tonight, when she was really supposed to be home and be there for dinner when Michelle came over. So being the romantic that he was, since his mom wasn't there to cook, he decided to himself.
Luke stirred the spaghetti around in the pot and turned off the fire. Making sure everything was turned off he ran up stairs to take a quick shower and to dress up.
He'd notice Michelle liked when guys wore a suit shirt and a tie so that's exactly when he wore. He gelled his hair up in his usual style and sprayer some cologne all over his body. He was picking at his teeth when the doorbell rang.
"She's here!" His heart raced when he ran down the steps and opened the door.
Michelle was dressed in a little red dress with t-shirt sleeves and it rose to get mid thigh. Her eyes had silver eyeshadow and her lips stained red. Her chocolate brown hair was parted to the left and was in its natural state of wavy.
Needless to say, Luke was breath taken.
"Hi," she said interrupting his thoughts. "Sorry hi, c'mon in!" He opened the door for her. "Smells good! Is your mom home?" Michelle asked walking into the kitchen. "Actually she's not she was supposed to be though," Luke said. "Oh okay," she said. Luke shuffled his fingers through his hair, "Well anyways we're having dinner outside tonight," Luke said taking up the plates of food he set out. "Really?" Michelle asked following him out back.
Her breath was taken when she stepped out onto the back porch to see a table with candles and the rest of the porch lighted up with candles also.
"Wow Luke..." She sighed. "You like it?" He smiled proudly. "Like it? I love it! Who gave you the idea?" Michelle said in awe. Luke shrugged, "I don't know I just brought out the inner female in me and thought 'if I were dating me... What would I want?"
