-Emily (_emilymae13)Baby," Luke said picking out a frilly white dress from the baby department, "Let's get this one."
"Aw that's adorable Luke!" Michelle said smiling and placing it in the cart. "You think my step mom is gonna like it?" He asked. "I believe so!" She smiled, "How does it feel to know that you're gonna be a brother at eighteen?" "It's really weird I'm gonna admit," he laughed, "This kid could literally be mine!"
Abby is pregnant with your baby.
"Ew don't say that!" Michelle made a face, "Remember this kid is in your stepmother's womb." "True that is gross!" He laughed and thought about it, "Ew scratch it."
So after they chose some things for his soon to come baby sister, they walked the streets of Georgetown roaming in and out of stores. They passed by the Calvin Klein store and Luke quickly stopped to stand next to the model figure. "Oh my goodness Luke!" Michelle began to laugh. "Who's sexier?" Luke asked teasing her. "Mm," she played along, "I think I might just say that the dummy is sexier." "What?" Luke exclaimed walking over to her and wrapping his arms around her waist so tight she couldn't move. "Luke!" She giggled. "What was that?" He whispered into her hair, "Say that again? Who's better looking?" "That mannequin is better looking than you," Michelle repeated. "Oh Michelle... My Michelle," Luke shook his head and taunted, "I'm gonna make you pay for that." "How?" She asked giggling. "Well for one," he said in a low raspy voice and smirked, "I'm gonna prove to you that I am the best man child you'll ever lay eyes on."
She smiled and shook her head, "Babe you might be mine, but I've seen better," she retorted. "Really? Like who?" He raised an eyebrow. "Channing Tatum for instance," she gave examples, "Or Zach Efron, Dylan O'Brien, and let's not forget Lukas Till or Nick Jonas." Luke suppressed a smile when he said, "You forgot to mention Leonardo DiCaprio." "Thank you!" Michelle said wiggling out of his arms, "See? You admit he looks amazing." "Leonardo is the remodel of how to look like when I'm like fifty," he said agreeing.
Michelle shook her head then dragged him by the hand. "Aye Darling you want some coffee?" He asked when the passed by a Starbucks. She shrugged, "Starbucks is okay, but there's a coffee shop down the street that has better coffee." "I thought every girl likes Starbucks," Luke laughed. "No that's not true," she said, "Sometimes we like bagel shops and bakery shops that sell coffee too." "Haha okay," Luke said opening the door to Georgetown Cupcakes.
"How many would you like to order?" The guy said. "Two red velvet and one vanilla please," Michelle ordered. Luke pulled out his wallet to pay and they were on to the next store.
"These are so good!!" She said taking a bite and giving the rest to Luke. "Michelle!" He began to laugh. "What?" She asked. "Your red lipstick stain is on the icing! That's gross!" He laughed and shook his head. "What? I give you lipstick stains all the time!" Michelle said back. "Yeah but I don't eat them..." He explained. "Do you not want the cupcake then?" She asked taking it back. "No! I'm just saying!" He said biting it before she could. "Stop complaining then," she scrunched up her nose. He kissed her on the cheek and said, "Whatever Hun."When they walked into the coffee shop there was a line of three people in front of them.
"Next please," the guy behind the counter said. Michelle moved up and he said, "How can I help you?" with a wink. Luke cringed.
"I'll take a medium coffee with vanilla cream and two tea spoons of sugar. "You want two pumps vanilla?" The guy asked with a slick voice. Clearly this guy was trying to flirt with her, but she didn't notice it. "Yes please," she nodded disregarding him. "Alright there's your change," he said printing out the receipt, "Free refills on me- okay lady?" "Thanks!" Michelle smiled looking up. The guy bit his bottom lip and winked making Michelle smile and Luke mad.
"Hey Baby Doll," He said instantly snaking his arms around her waist and quickly kissing her on the neck, "Would you like to go home after this?" "Sure... But I thought we were going to buy a teddy bear," she asked confused. "No lets go home now, the weather looks like a snowstorm is coming on," Luke suggested. "Alright," Michelle whispered.
The guy came back with her cup of coffee and a heart and a number written on it. Michelle put her hand over the number to keep Luke from seeing it.
When the got in the car Luke pulled out a cigarette and lighted it. "Hey!" Michelle scolded, "Since when did you start smoking?" "Only when I'm stressed. I'm eighteen; its legal," he rolled his eyes. "You're legal doesn't mean it's right! That's your health going down the drain!" She gently hit him on the arm, "And why are you stressed!" "That guy was flirting with you!" Luke said loudly. "He was being friendly," she denied. "No! He did that whole lip bite and wink thing! I'm a guy- I know what a guy does to flirt with girls!" He yelled. "Okay! So?" She raised her voice in annoyance. "You liked it!" Luke said pinching the cigarette between his two fingers. Michelle dropped back in a her seat and said, "No I didn't!"
There was a silence in the car while he breathed out the smoke. "Luke... Just because a guy flirts with a me... Doesn't mean I like it. I like you a lot and you know that," Michelle said looking out the window. "Yeah well," Luke said taking another breath in, "Sometimes when we're at school or other places I get jealous because these random little boys will be checking you out and I don't like that. You're my girl." Michelle smiled and laughed, "Well it's not my fault these 'little boys' hit on me, you have nothing to be jealous about!"
"I have everything to be jealous about!" Luke smiled and exclaimed, "It's your fault for being so freaking pretty! And I don't like the fact that these guys hit on you... I'm scared that you'll like it because you can't. I love you and..."
"What?" Michelle cut him off. "What?" He asked biting into the cigarette on his lips. "No what did you say?" She asked. Luke searched his words then repeated, "What? That I love you?"
She nodded. "I've said it to you tons of times before Michelle," he questioned. "Yeah but I didn't think you really meant it... Like really meant it," she shrunk into her chair. "Michelle, I've said 'I love you' to countless girls," He waved off. "And how many times did you mean it?" She asked. "Once," he answered, "You."
"Like... You really mean it?" She asked. He smiled, "Yeah. That's why I get jealous." She looked down at her fingers and played with them, "Well you don't have to get jealous. Because I love you. I think. I don't really know what love is. I highly doubt it exists or lasts. But if it's someone's happiness being yours then yeah," she rambled not looking at him.
He pulled out his cigarette and kissed her. She smiled but quickly pulled away. "I can't stand the smokey taste," she laughed taking the cigarette herself and blowing it out then tossing it out the window.
"I never wanna catch you smoking ever again," she warned, "Or else I'll have to break up with you." "Well we wouldn't want that would we?" He winked. "Probably not," she agreed.
He started the engine and began to drive back home to his house. "Hey Babe, where are you thinking about going for college?" She asked. "Well since I'm in Baltimore anyways, one of the coaches from the Ravens has been watching me. He's thinking about me learning a bit from them then joining the team. "Wow! That's amazing!" She exclaimed, "So you're getting an apartment here then?" "Yeah that's the goal," he nodded, "Hey you're gonna be eighteen next year. You could move in with me." She shook her head, "As much as I'd love to. You're gonna have to put a ring on my paper before we do that." A smirk crept up on his lips, "I'm going to have my class ring." "Then we can get married in May," she joked.Married in May. He'd said that before, get married right after graduation, but not to this girl. Sadly.
"Haha yeah," he said without expression. "Abby's baby should be born by May," she whispered. "What?!" Luke braked so hard they flung forward in their seats. "Oh! I wasn't supposed to tell!" She covered her mouth.
Pretend like you don't know.
"Abby is pregnant Luke," She explained, "But you can't tell her I told you. Just pretend like you don't know! Please!"
You are pretending like you don't know.
"Yeah okay," he nodded and kept on driving. "So pregnant huh?" He asked, "Do you by any means know who the father is?" "Abby said she didn't know when she told me. Hopefully she'll figure it out," Michelle said. "Yeah I hope so too," he lied. For the rest of the ride he kept making small comments on random things just to avoid her asking any questions about what he might have known. If Michelle could stay as far away as she could out of the situation- the better.Once the pulled onto the driveway they rushed into the house to avoid the cold. Then taking out the frilly white dress he asked, "So you wanna help me wrap baby presents?"
