"Hey I'm here," Abby said into the phone. Instantly he was out the door and hopped into the front seat. "Thanks Abby," he said. She nodded, "Ready to go?" He sighed, "Can we go somewhere before we go to the hospital?" "Sure," she said shrugging. "Can I drive then?" He smirked. "Luke... if you crash this truck again like you did last time..." Abby warned. Luke laughed, "Last time we were both being stupid and I was being distracted by you." She sighed remembering exactly what happened. "Okay fine," she switched seats with him. He remembered exactly where all the controls on her stick shift truck were. "Alright lets go," Abby said putting her feet on the dash.

Luke Bryan was playing on the radio while on the drive to Centennial Park. There they sat down on a bench watching kids all around them play. "So why exactly did you bring me here?" She asked. "Because," he said putting an arm on the bench behind her, "This is where we became friends." She smiled, "I remember. You stole my sand bucket that day." "We also made out on that bench on the first date too," He pointed to a bench near a tree. "Stop!" She gave him a slight push, "I hope you don't talk about that stuff in front of Michelle." "Course I don't," he shook his head,  "But I kinda miss those days fighting with you." "And the screaming," she added, "And the door slamming." "And the kissing and the late night talking," he reminded her. She felt uncomfortable, "Why are you bringing all this up again?" He shrugged,  "I don't know. Memories I guess." The thing is that Luke had no idea how much Abby remembered it all. "Really good memories," he sighed putting his head on top of her fluffy red hair. "Yeah well... I'm happy now that we're friends again," she said. "I am too," he said. "Okay," she said getting up, "Let's go to the hospital now," Abby said extending her arms to help him up.

"Sooo..." Abbh trailed on sitting next to Luke on the hospital bench, "What did you find?" The doctor tapped his chin and sighed, "Luke you really are a rare case." Luke fell into Abby's lap with a groan. "Never in my 17 years of being a doctor have I seen this," he said, "Blood clots, rare blood type and anemia all at the same time." "Well is there a donor anywhere in the states?" Abby asked concerned. "We are looking," Doctor Gilbert said, "In fact he's the first on the list if we find his type." She bit her lip, "Well maybe you can test my blood. I don't know what type I am." Luke instantly sat up, "True! Maybe she can donate some for me!" The doctor shook his head, "Five or so ounces won't be enough." The two teenagers frowned. "But... we can always try," he said preparing for the tests. "Yes!" He said excited. "Don't give your hopes up though. It may not be the right type," he said. "Either way... she's still helping someone in need of blood," Luke smiled at Abby. "Alright I'm going to have to take you into another room for questions and testing," the nurse said. She followed her and the Doctor into a separate room and sat down in a chair.

"What's your name?" The nurse asked.

  "Abby Connolly," she answered.

"Age?" "18" she replied. "Insurance card?" Doctor asked. She pulled it out of her wallet. "Birthday?" The nurse asked. "April 15th 1996," she replied. "Any allergies or sickness?" The nurse asked. "No not currently. And sometimes when I eat green apples my throat gets itchy. But besides that? No," Abby replied. "Are you sexually active? And if so, do you have any sexually transmitted disease?" The nurse asked. "Uh..." Abby felt uncomfortable answering that question. "When's the last time you did it?" The nurse asked more friendly. "At sixteen," she answered. "Do you have HIV or AIDS? Any sexually transmitted disease?" The nurse checked off. "No," Abby replied. "Alright!" The nurse checked off, "Do you take any medication? And have you or do you take any form of illegal medication?" "No," Abby answered. "Okay then! Looks like your clean then," the nurse said, "Doctor its up to you."

He smiled cleaning the needle and wiping off her arm. "You ready to donate about ten ounces of blood?" He asked. "Yes!" She answered happily. She just might be able to help Luke. "This may sting and you might get light headed afterwards," he warned. "Anything for him," she said under her breath. The doctor grinned. "What?" She laughed. "You really do love that boy with all your heart don't you?" He winked. She sighed looking at the window knowing the exact answer.

"Yeah I do."
