Michelle laughed, "I never said I loved you." "Well you sure didn't say you didn't love me," Luke said. "What are you implying? That I like you?" She asked turning herself towards Luke.

His eyes concentrating on the view before him. He had a way of mesmerizing her without doing anything; just sitting there with his jaw tightened up made him attractive.

"Well it wouldn't be so bad though would it? If you liked me," Luke said turning his bright green eyes toward her. "It wouldn't be horrible," she said meaning to mumble it in her head. "What did you say?" Luke asked. "Nothing," she turned to her other side. "No tell me," Luke persisted while hovering over her on his side. "Go away," Michelle pushed him and then suddenly realizing the zero space between them.

He didn't move.

"If I was gonna ask you if you really loved me what would you say?" Luke asked almost in a whisper. She looked at him and said, "I'd say yes. But not in the way where I was in love with you." "So do you like me?" He asked. "Frankly yeah I do. But you're taking a 'break from girls' remember?" Michelle said humorously. Luke shook his head, "No. I don't remember saying that." And they both laughed. "You're horrible?" She pushed him off her. "Yes and you love me," he stated. "Great so are you gonna use that against me now?" She asked crossing her arms and standing up. "No," Luke said stepping closer, "I may try to do this though."

He went in to steal a kiss from her when she backed up and fell off the roof.

"AHHH!!!"

Wow," Luke said sitting next to Michelle in her wheel chair. "Wow is correct. Who knew that while you tried to kiss me, you were actually trying to kill me," she mocked. "Oh it's not that bad," he said. She glared at him, "I have a broken leg." "And I'll be the first to sign that cast," Luke winked. "Shut up," she growled.

"Oh! Baby are you okay?" Mrs. Hartford and rushing into the room. "Son we need to talk," Mr. Hartford looked at Luke seriously. "Dad! Mom I'm okay," Michelle persuaded. "I'm very sorry that I broke your daughters leg," Luke quickly apologized, "I'll be paying her bill." "Yes you will," her father said without delay." "Oh my gosh," Michelle mumbled under her breath. "Are you okay? How are you feeling?" Her mom pressed. "I broke a leg Mom, I didn't die," Michelle rolled her eyes. "Well thank God you didn't die!" Her mom hit her on the leg. "OW!" She screamed. "Son you and I will be having a talk now," her sad said and Luke followed him out.

"So how did you break your leg?" Her mom asked.

Michelle was in no way about to tell her mom that Luke wanted to kiss her so she said, "We were looking at the stars on the roof and I fell off." "Stars? What an absurd story," her mom rolled her eyes, "Do I look oblivious to you?" "No," Michelle said.

"Alright we can leave now," Mr. Hartford came in with Luke following behind. "How was that talk?" Michelle asked Luke as her parents were taking up and signing some paper work. "Well I'm taking you to home coming," Luke said. "You're what??" Michelle asked. "Yeah that's what we talked about," Luke smirked. "Was that ALL you talked about?" Michelle questioned. "No we talked about last nights Orioles game too," Luke said.

"Ready to go?" Mr. Hartford asked. "Dad you're letting him take me to home coming?" Michelle asked. "Yeah why not? It's just a broken leg, you guys can drink fruit punch together," her dad said. "Bye!" Her mom said to Luke while leaving the room. "This is ridiculous," Michelle said to her dad as he left the room. Then Luke said, "Bye." "I hate you," she said turning around towards him. "I love you," Luke said smugly. "Yeah well if I want mad at you I guess I'd love you too," she said.
