class finally ended and everyone started heading out the door. yumi woke up yoongi and he speeded out the door not even waiting for her.

she started packing up her things. she looked up and saw that the whole classroom was empty. even the teacher had left before her.

it was only her and the new student.

she avoided eye contact when he glanced at her.
while he packed up yumi sneakily took the chance and looked at him.

she noticed how he was very tall and was wearing mostly black. something very prominent was his bright brown locks of hair that seemed to bounce every time he moved.

she had to have been staring for too long when they both met eyes as he warmly smiled at her?

immediately felt my face warm up like as if someone slapped her with a hot piece of toast that just popped out of the toaster. (update: what the frig was i thinking)

yumi just stood there with my backpack in my hands and thought of how all her worries seemed to disappear once she looked into his eyes, which just made her cringe at herself. but it was a very real feeling. awkwardly looking at the floor not knowing what to do in this situation.

"uh..i'm wong yukhei but, you can call me lucas"
he said .

lucas held out his hand for her to shake it as he stuffed the other one in his pocket as he held his backpack.

she looked at him once more and shook his hand that enveloped hers.

"kim mayumi but, you can just call me yumi"
she said copying the way that he had introduced himself.

he seemed to notice and smile.

"that's a pretty name"
she looked at him shOoK as nobody has told her that before. she saw him realize what he just said and slightly turn red.

they both just laughed it off.

"see you around yumi"

he said as he left the classroom.
she saw his silhouette slowly disappear.

she stood there still confused with what had just happened.

she heard the bell ring again meaning it was time for the next period.

yumi couldn't believe she had wasted my whole break awkwardly talking to this guy.

she just shrugged and left the classroom
heading to her next period.
