i heard and saw everything lucas had said and did.

but i didn't believe his worry,, it was all not real. he probably knew i was awake and just wanted to seem like he cared.

i felt like my whole world was flipped upside down and there was nothing i could do about it. seolhyun was right,, he was going to leave me.

even saying her name in my mind hurt. but the name lucas was a straight bullet to the head.

i felt a warm hand on my forehead, finally i opened my eyes to see the nurse checking up on me.

"good morning ms. yumi, how do you feel?"
she softly spoke.

"i'm good"
i chose to reply quickly because i really did not want to talk.

" there's something I really need to ask you and that is how did you get all these bruises and cuts? did someone hurt you?"
the nurse asked placing her finger on one of the many bruises on my arm.

"o-ow um no i- i- did this to myself. i did it. n-nobody else"
i had to lie, but was it really a lie? i felt like everything was my fault for giving him a second chance.

"okay but make sure to never do that again"
i nodded as she walked out of the room and smiled a bit.

once the nurse entered the room i waited patiently outside yumi's room waiting to be let in again.

i tapped my shoe on the floor as i grew impatient. next thing i know i'm in the men's bathroom practically pulling my hair because of all the confusion and frustration building up.

taking deep breaths wasn't working it just made it worse. it felt like the walls were coming in and i was being suffocated. i ran out of the bathroom panting as my eyes readjusted to see my surroundings.

the nurse that was in yumi's room was now in the hallway walking to the front office. i took this chance to sneak into the room. the door creaked open.

there was nobody there.
yumi was gone.
her things were gone.
the bed was made nicely
and the patient name [kim yumi]
was gone.

my eyes grew wide as i panicked.

where could she have gone?

then i heard a voice behind me

"don't even try looking for her,, she left"

i turned around to see

seolhyun .
