a lot had changed after graduation. yumi and lucas still lived together but now in their own condos. he lived right next door to her which brought her comfort . they would see each other often in and out of school. yes school, they went to the same college. they both took some type of art major. he was in dance and music along with his other friends and she was art and fashion design.

school was actually fun now because yumi got to go with him.

they went to school together just like they used to go in high school. they rode their bikes. she had gotten dressed nicely because after school yumi and lucas were supposed to go visit a little cafe that one of their friends worked at.

she went outside with her backpack and knocked on lucas' door. he didn't answer the first time. she knocked again. she heard soft footsteps approach the door. then it unlocked but didn't open . the footsteps then started to fade away from the door. she opened the door slowly to see a sleepy lucas laying in the couch.

he was wrapped in a blanket and he had some bed head hair.

"class starts in 15 minutes lucas! why are you still in your pjs"
shd said sitting next to him in his couch while setting herbackpack down.

he frowned.
"im sick again love"

lucas softly coughed. he had been getting more sick more often. it worried her but he usually got better in a few days.

yumi gave him some cough drops. the same type of ones she gave him in high school.

cherry flavored.

she caressed his face.
he looked at her lovingly.

"im going to take the afternoon classes to stay with you here okay?"
she told him.

he looked hesitant at first but was too weak to stop her so he just nodded.

she headed to his kitchen to make him some warm green tea.

he sat there looking at my every move. i don't know what was up with him today.

i brought him the tea and set it on the little table next to the couch. lucas' eyes still tearing right through my soul.

"you look so beautiful like always"
he mumbled.

i blushed.

he then grabbed my hand.

"you're mine yumi."

i gasped.

"you know that right?"
he said intertwining out fingers.

i looked down at our intertwines hands. then he gently took his hand an placed it on my chin making me face him.

"i'm sorry i never said anything. i was scared i wasn't good enough for yo-"
before he ended that sentence i hugged him tightly burying my head in is neck.
