it was valentine's day and lucas' heart was pounding out of his chest. he was new to love and was learning more and more about it whenever he was with yumi.

he had planned to take her on a date. he waited outside her door as his hand couldn't stop shaking to press the doorbell.

what he didn't know was that he was being watched. yumi was giggling as she watched him out of her window . she admired how dressed up he was with his striped sweater and jacket. he seemed to be reversing what he was going to say, taking deep breathes at every word he said. finally she heard the door bell ring and quickly hurried down the stairs.

she greeted lucas with a smile.

"happy valentine's day yumi"
lucas said nervously rubbing the back of his neck with his hand as he held out the bouquet of flowers he had gotten her.

she smiled and hugged him. his nerves were completely gone and he accepted her embrace.

"thank you"
yumi whispered as her head was buried into his neck.

lucas just shook his head making his brown locks bounce and they were on their way.

hands intertwined.

march 11th

lucas and yumi walked over the bridge admiring the different colored street lights. how they reflected across the dark waters beneath them.

lucas sat down over the edge. he patted for yumi to come sit next to him but she hesitated.

"come on we won't fall i promise, i'll hold you"
he murmured the last part.

she finally sat down. lucas waited a few seconds before he wrapped his arm around her shoulder pulling her closer to him. she rested her head on his shoulder.

"i can't believe you called me over here so early in the morning"
yumi yawned as her eyes were having trouble staying open.

"im sorry. i just,"
lucas kicked his feet over the water nervously.
then finished what he was about to say.

"i just wanted to watch the sunrise with you"

she grinned softly as she hugged him.

the once dark filled skies slowly turned a gentle orange. it faded into yellow and the top of the sun started to rise. the growing sunlight peppered their faces with warmth. lucas couldn't help but smiling.

he felt relief.

lucas' laughs filled the air as yumi had left over ice cream on the top of her nose. he gently wiped it off with a napkin. her nose scrunched up and she turned red.

they were hanging out at some abandoned park pretty late at night. ten and taeyong had come with them but had to leave early due to dance practice.

the sky was full of stars. each one different than a the others. each one with a purpose. yumi stood up from the bench and walked over to the grass. she laid down.

lucas followed. he scooted closer to her and started to star gaze. she started talking about the different shapes and images she found within the stars but he couldn't come up with anything.

this caused him to frown. as yumi continued talking he looked down at himself. reaching for his left pocket . there he took out a lighter.

he carefully stared at it before turning it on., it made a loud click causing yumi to turn around. the small flame illuminated them. she got closer to the flame as her face glowed.

quickly she blowed it off.

"what were you thinking?"
yumi pouted as she rested her head on his chest.

"im scared of the dark"
lucas said.

they laughed together.

"you don't have to worry,"
yumi started.

even at night you could tell the lucas' eyes sparkled. he leaned forward and waited for her answer.

"you have me and the stars"
