A whole year

"You know..." Benny starts as we walk up to Ethan who is standing beside his locker, "Just for you, I'll take my hundreds bucks in dollars." Benny smirks as a Ethan sighs and opens his locker, shoving the Rose he was holding onto said locker.

"The deal was that I has a year to ask Sarah out." Ethan says, looking down to his watch, "I still have five hours left." He says, turning to his locker once again.

"The council wants to meet with you now." Rory states as he walks around the corner, "And this time I've been authorised to use force." He adds, crossing his arms.

Ethan scoffs, "What force?" Rory rolls up his sleeve, showing his bicep, "These!" He says, laughing. I raise an eyebrow, as he turns around and points out two males standing next to the trophy case.

"And those." He says, turning and smiling at us. Benny salutes and I give the males a shy wave.

Ethan sighs, "Let's just get this over with." He says, shutting his locker, "I'll ask Sarah out later."

"Yeah, sure you will." Benny teases as Ethan walks away with Rory, "Oh, and on a completely unrelated note, I have pre-ordered a hundreds dollars worth of the worlds first self-chewing gum." He adds, leaning on the wall.

I sigh, trying to hide my smile, "You're ridiculous." I mumble, "Ah, you love me." Benny teases, poking my arm, "Sadly."

"I see that, that went well." I mumble as Ethan is shoved outside of a room and pushed down the stairs by the two males seen earlier at school.

"I mean, you appear to be alive." Benny adds as we follow the males and Ethan down the staircase of the vampire council.

"Yeah. I've got all day to ask Sarah out." Ethan says, struggling to get out of the males' grips.

"Yeah. This I gotta see." The vampire to the least says as they finish pushing him down the stairs and let go.

I'm about to open my mouth until I'm interrupted by Sarah running around the corner and into the room.

"Erica told me you were here! Did they hurt you?" Sarah asks, worried. "Is everything okay?" She adds her eyes flicking over toward us then back to Ethan.

"Uh, Yeah. Um.." Ethan looks over at us and I widen my eyes in the "Do it you pansy" manner. Ethan looks at the rest of the group and gulps, loudly.

"Can I... Um, can we, uh..." Ethan stutters, pulling Sarah away from the group. Holy cow, he's actually going to do it.

"I'd... I'd like to uh.. ask you... uh.." Ethan looks over toward us for guidance. "Just do it." I mumble, getting frustrated.

"Maybe we could, uh.. " Ethan trails off. "He's actually doing it!" Benny mumbled, "Yeah, if we could hurry it up and say it." I state, a little louder. "I changed my mind. This is definitely worth a hundreds bucks!" Benny adds.

"Sarah, would you like to go out for dinner with me tonight?" Ethan asks, his voice cracking.

"What? Like a date?" Sarah asks, a playful tone underlining her words.

"No, not like that. I mean-" Ethan cuts himself off as he looks at us frantically whisper/yelling "Yes" to him.

"I mean yeah! Exactly like that. On a date." Ethan says, avoiding Sarah's eyes and looking around the room.

"Sure, what the heck. Could be fun." Sarah says, probably with a smile, I can't see her facial expressions. "See you tonight then?" Ethan asks. Sarah nods and walks off.
