Chapter Fourteen

Mac's POV

I climbed in my car to leave when I noticed a big explosion from the top of the hospital. I climbed out and looked at it in panic.

I heard Kira scream as a live wire flew by her head. It was letting out sparks of electricity. An ambulance drove past and crashed, hitting a fire hydrant. The water from it quickly spread in the parking lot. Alison and Isaac sped into the parking lot.

The EMT driving the ambulance stepped out into the water getting electrocuted.

"Get back, everyone get back!" Kira yelled. That's when I noticed the flying wire was no longer in the air but laying in the puddle, electrifying it. Alison started to run to the EMT when Isaac pushed her out the way. She called his name as he got electrocuted when the water reached his feet.

"Isaac!" I yelled, starting to run to my best friend. Alison grabbed my arm, stopping me from running in the water. Panic filled me as Isaac laid in the water, not moving. A car drove through the water almost hitting Kira, she flipped over it and landed into the water, it not affecting her at all.

"Kira, the wire!" I yelled remembering the night in the power station. She grabbed it, and put her hand over the sparks. Her eyes lit up as she seemed to suck in the power from the wire. Everything seemed to move in slow motion as people started running out of the hospital.

I ran to Isaac, reaching him just before Derek. "Isaac?" He asked, hoping for a response. I could feel my hands shaking. Oh god, he's not breathing.

"Oh my god." I whispered, touching his shoulder.

"He's not breathing. Scott, he's not breathing!" Derek yelled getting the attention of my brother. Doctors rushed over with a gurney. I tried to follow them in, but they stopped me.

"Mac, hey." Derek said, walking up to me. I was pacing the hallway, in front of the Emergency Personal door. I needed him to be alright. What if he wasn't alright? "Come on let's get you home."

"No," I said. "I'm not leaving till I know he's alright."

"Mac." Derek said softly, touching my arm affectionately.

"No Derek." I said looking at him, my tears finally starting to fall. "What if he's not alright? What if he dies?"

"He's not gonna die." Derek said pulling me into a hug. I broke down in tears. He has to be okay.

~

It has been almost two days since Isaac was electrocuted. I had practically moved into the ICU waiting room. Stiles was still missing and Isaac still wasn't better. Noah tried to make me go to school but I wouldn't. Not until he was okay.

It was now morning time, I hadn't slept. I hadn't been able to. Alison had spent the night with me but had fallen asleep on my shoulder. I quietly moved her head against the wall and walked up to the nurse reception for the floor. They hadn't let me see him yet.

"I'm here to see Isaac Lahey." I said to the nurse.

"I told you last night and I'll tell you again. Unless you're family, you can't see him." She said. I glared at her.

"I am his family. That's my brother laying in that room!" I yelled at her.

"You aren't his legal relative." She simply said.
