3rd Person's POV
Scott finally was making it home. It was definitely later than he planned, but he had to make sure Stiles and Kira got home safe. Especially with the Oni still at large. There's no telling when they'd come back. He checked the time on his phone when he walked in the house, just past midnight.
The Alpha was beyond stressed. His best friend was possessed, his roommate was still in the hospital not healing, his mentor stuck in jail, and his sister had just took another shot to her esteem. He just wanted the universe to give them a break. All he wanted was a supernatural danger free year. Of course it hasn't happened. First, it was the alphas and now evil fox spirit. They had to survive this, all of them.
Scott walked up the stairs and immediately stopped by Isaac's room. He looked around in confusion. He couldn't smell Mac's scent in the room. He opened the door to see it empty. He knew she was there, not only could he smell her but he could hear her heartbeat. He decided to follow the scent, mixed in with his mother's. He followed the scents to his mother's room. The door was slightly open, so he pushed it open revealing the two females. Mac slept cuddled in his mother's arms.
He smiled slightly at the view but frowned when he caught the scent of the emotions coming off of Mac. Pain, anger, and sadness were wafting off her in loads. He had to clench the door frame because the emotions were so powerful, even in her sleep. Scott was angry at Stiles. He couldn't help but to be. Stiles didn't do it, but his body did. His body helped damage his already broken sister.
Scott back out the room, heading to his. Scott launched on the bed with a mental promise to shower away the events of the night when he awoke. He was far too tired. As Scott lay there slowly slipping into unconsciousness, he thought about the blue eyed girl in the next room. He never thought he'd have a relationship with her, not even after she moved here. Now he couldn't imagine life without his little sister. She had been hurt so deeply so many times and he wish he could take the pain away. He made a promise to his sister before he fell asleep. He'd save Stiles, for both of their sake.

The next morning, Mac woke up with a god awful headache. Melissa had already risen, and was getting ready for her shift at the hospital. Mac groaned as her sore bones ached as she proceed to to climb from the comfortable bed. She made her way downstairs, passing a snoring Scott, to the kitchen where Melissa was reading the paper and eating an egg sandwich.
"Good morning, honey. You hungry?" Melissa asked, not expecting to see the girl up so early.
"No, not really." Mac said, trying to ignore the growl of her stomach. Melissa had already done so much for Mac, she didn't wanna take anymore. Take it for granted.
"Yeah, sure. There's egg and bacon on the stove. Save some for Scott." Melissa said after hearing the young Phoenix's stomach yelling for nutrients. Melissa grabbed her coffee mug, prepared to head out the door when Mac stopped her.
"Is there anyway you'll drop me off at the sheriff's station so I can get my car?" Mac asked, afraid Melissa would get mad about being asked to go out her way.
"Of course, kiddo. Make that sandwich to go and we'll be on our way." Melissa said, walking to the living room to grab the rest of her things for work. Mac made her sandwich as quickly as she could and met with Melissa outside.
Together the two women headed to the car. They drove in silence toward the police station. Both lost in their own thoughts. When they arrived, Mac reached for the door handle but was stopped by Melissa's hand on her arm.
