Chapter Twenty Nine
Mac's POV
"Call me as soon as you land, okay?" I said holding on to my best friend for dear life. He was going with Chris Argent to France for the summer. They were going to bury the triskele box there. Also going to mourn Allison.
"I promise." He said hugging me just as tightly. "Call me everyday. I wanna know what's going on here."
"Okay. I'll miss you." I said, trying to keep myself from crying. I wasn't sure if he was coming back. He wasn't either. I hoped he did. I don't know what I'd do if he left forever.
"I'll miss you too." He said. I finally pulled away after catching a glimpse of Chris looking at us from next to the car.
"Okay, you gotta get going." I said wiping tears from his face with my sleeves. He cleared his throat and nodded. We walked to the car and I went over and hugged Chris. "Have a safe flight."
After a few more words of goodbye, they headed to the airport. When their car disappeared, I looked up at the building where the Argents had their apartment, and overwhelming grief filled me.
Next thing you know, I was in my car doing something that I'd never thought I'd be doing. After driving for a few minutes, I found up knocking on an apartment door. Soon it opened to show Helena.
"Mac?" She asked, "What are you doing here."
"You were right. I wasn't strong enough and I lost two of my friends. I can't watch that again. I won't let it happen again. I need you to train me." I said.
"Come on in." She said opening the door wider. I won't loose anymore of my friends.
-A few days later-
I've been trying to talk myself up to this. Trying to talk myself into bringing it up. Between Stiles and Scott helping Malia control here were-coyote powers and training with my aunt. It's never been a good time.
But we were finally home alone. Isaac had encouraged me to at least talk about it with Stiles but I have had trouble getting the confidence I needed. Which is why I find myself standing in the hallway in front of his door. My hand was raised like to knock but I haven't been able to actually do it.
"Stop being a little bitch and man up." I whispered to myself. I haven't been in here since the night Stiles had gone missing. Since I found out the truth about our night together. I took a big breathe and knocked on the door.
"Come in." I heard him call from behind the door. I opened the door and was surprised to see his walls empty where there usually was some type of supernatural investigation going on. "Hey Mac, what's up?"
"I have something to talk to you about." I said. I looked at him and he was sitting on his bed. A flash from that night graced my memory and I gulped.
"Are you okay? Does being in here bother you? We can go somewhere else to talk if you want." He said looking worried.
"No I'm fine. It's actually about that night." I said shutting the door behind me.
"Okay?" There was a question in his voice. "What's going on?"
"I've been thinking about it. That night. How the nogitsune took something from both of us. I know there's no way of taking it back but I was thinking." I said trying to find the right words.
"Thinking?" He asked.
"Yeah, okay. So Void Stiles-" I started but he cut me off.
"Please for the love of God, stop calling him that." Stiles Hayes the term I had coined. Especially because Scott and Isaac had started saying it too.
"I'm sorry but that's what he was. You but void everything that made you, you," I said. He just gave me a look. I took another deep breathe. "Okay, the nogitsune took my first time away from me but he did the same to you. I was thinking we could replace that memory."
"What do you mean?" He asked. I looked down at my hands embarrassed. "You mean- oh? Oh!" He finally got it thankfully.
"Are you sure?" He asked and I nodded.
"Is this something you'd want? I don't wanna pressure you." I said, hoping I wasn't making him seem like he had to.
"God, yes!" He quickly cleared his throat, "I mean, yeah. I'm okay with this."
"Good, because I don't want to remember that as my first time. I want to remember this. This moment right here of us, being truly us." With those words, I leaned in for a kiss.
——————————
I think that's a good closer to Season 3. If only they knew what Season 4 has in store for them.
A lot of people keep asking me to keep Isaac, cause as we all know. He doesn't come back in the actual show. Think I should bring him back?
Let me know what you think?
