Chapter Twenty Two
Third Person's POV
Mac was sleeping peacefully, well as peacefully as possible while dealing with the current situations. Meaning, her night was filled with nightmares. Ones it didn't seem like she could wake up from. As she tossed and turned, there was a darkness invading her room. An evil creature watched her.
The fly she thought she heard as she was drifting away, was watching her every move. It grew closer, slowly. Before long, the fly made it's way into her face. It crawled her Mac's nose, making itself comfortable. As the fly died in her brain, Mac's fearful nightmares warped and twisted into hateful dreams. Her anger focused on one person. Her thoughts became consumed with hurting one person. Her, so called, Aunt. Her mother's clone. As Mac continued the sleep, she made plans. Plans to take revenge, not only on aunt for constantly pushing her, but a surrogate for her mom. She was now powerful enough and nothing could stop her.
When Mac's eyes popped open, determined. Her thoughts were no longer coherent. Her inner beast was set free. She didn't care what time it was. Not realizing it was mid afternoon and she had missed calls. Mac quickly dressed, not bothering the check her phone. She had missed many calls from Scott and Allison, both seeking her assistance with their various problems.
Mac didn't even need to wonder where Helena would be at this time. The school. The orange haze of anger in her eyes set her on a mission. Nothing, no one could stop her mission. Nothing, included the sounds of fight and growls coming from the locker room as she walked past.
Helena was sitting in her classroom, that was previously occupied by Jennifer Blake, grading papers when her vision flared orange. When she looked up Mac stood there, enraged. Her eyes were shining bright and she had an aura of fire surrounding her.
"Mackinzy, what-?" Helena started but Mac cut her off.
"You come into my life and mess it up. You ruin it." Mac said glaring at her biological aunt.
"I never meant to do that." Helena said, slowly standing up. She could feel the hate and anger flowing off of Mac. She could sense her power and how it grew with each and every second.
"You never meant to?" Mac asked angrily.
"I just wanted to be a family." Helena said, cautiously.
"A family?" Mac scoffed. "You're a burden. You're a demon, just like my mother. I'm putting you down, once and for all."
"Mac, think about this." Helena said, slowly backing away.
"I have. I thought about it and it's loud and clear." Mac said, walking toward her scared aunt. Arms held out to the sides, letting her flames thicken, "I've decided the only way to keep you away from me, is to kill you."
Helena was panicking internally. She didn't think she could take on Mac. Not with her in this state. Helena might have experience on her side but Mac had the power. With Mac like this, Her power was 10 times Helena's and it seemed to keep getting stronger.
Before Mac could make another move, black blood dropped from her nose and she dropped to the ground. Her flames quickly whooshed away by her unconscious state.
"What the hell?" Helena asked, still in shock of her near death. She slowly moved toward her, worried Mac wasn't really unconscious.
A smirk formed on Helena's lips, as she stood over the sleeping girl. Though she knew she was almost barbecued, she finally found the answer. She finally found the answer to her journey. She knew it. She knew Mac was powerful enough. She knew Mac was the one. She needed to start planning. With that, she walked out of the room, leaving Mac in the classroom floor
