[xv] suspicion

yongguk returned home at 7 in the evening that day with a big smile on his face, reminiscing the time he spent with hyunbin. the man was joyous and playful and brought light to yongguk's darkness.

he unlocked his front door and walked in, closing it behind him and hanging his scarf around the coat hanger.

"'guk?" sanggyun's voice gently called out, startling the younger boy immediately. "ah, hyung... you scared me."

"why are you so late? i was starting to get worried..." sanggyun frowned as yongguk smiled and put his bag down on the couch. "i was out... with a friend. sorry, hyung, i forgot to tell you."

"what's their name?" the older boy tilted his head and folded his arms as yongguk grinned.

"well-" he suddenly stopped himself, pondering for a moment. he could tell sanggyun the truth... but knowing him, the boy would get easily jealous. the time yongguk spent with hyunbin was purely platonic (though they flirted quiet a bit), but he was sure that his boyfriend wouldn't take it that way.

so yongguk decided to lie.

"did you ever meet, uh... donghannie?" he winced at the names, sanggyun raising an eyebrow. "who?"

"that's- yeah," yongguk laughed awkwardly. "they're... donghan's a hoobae, but he sat down and asked for advice about his assessment. i just gave him some tips, you know? real simple."

"ah, really?" sanggyun grinned, laughing gently. "that's sweet. did you have fun? did you bring back food?"

"ey," yongguk scowled, before frowning. "ah, no food! what do i do..."

"i've been craving pork cutlets recently..." sanggyun frowned as the younger boy pondered. that stuff's usually expensive even for one person, so for two on a college student's wages...

"sure!" yongguk grinned, sanggyun clapping happily. "yeah! thanks, gukkie. i love you."

"me too," he mumbled gently, before laughing. "go, give me their number and i'll ring them up."

sanggyun nodded happily, turning away and getting the contact details.
