The walls echoed with the voices of her youth, small childish cries, laughter and squeals of children caught in simple play were recorded and stored like invisible time capsules of a juncture when things were happy, or seemingly happy.
She hadn't been back since her brief visit Christmas.
It had been longer still since she had sat in the empty shell that had been her bedroom.
Vestige signs of the purple paint that had been bright and vibrant still hung stubbornly to the wall, refusing to disappear completely or give in to the ravages of time.
When she'd chosen Sara Adeline had stripped the room clean with her bare fingertips, feasting on the posters that adorned the walls like a Werewolf takes it's prey after a long time fasting.
The trails of fingernails still showed as evidence of her mother's anger.
Quinn pulled her legs up tighter towards her, sitting her chin her red-stained eyes still leaked tears down her face.
She wanted it all back, a chance to do it all again, she wanted those carefree joys back where she and her brothers played, where they worked together to discover where their parents had hidden their Christmas gifts, the feeling of team ship had long since gone.
What made her even more despairing and pitiful was the thought that at some point in their childhoods she and her brothers had come in to play for the very last time and none of them had been aware of it, and when she thought back on it she couldn't even recall.
Her heart protested at the thought she wasn't Slade Wilson's daughter, he'd been her father and once a good one, was that all an act? Was that part of his charade?
The door creaked downstairs grinding to a holt suddenly.
"Quinn are you here?"
She wanted to ignore the voice, pretend was wasn't there but she knew she'd not give up.
Sara Lance never gave up.
"Ye...es." The sob tore her words apart.
"This staircase is falling apart." Sara smiled as she took in her desolate appearance.
Quinn never replied.
Sara crouched down next to her, her tired ice blue eyes piercing her with a troubled look.
"What's wrong did you see your father?" She wiped away the stray tears that fell fro! her eyes.
" No. "
"Why are you crying?"
" Because I came here, I needed to come here to make sure that my life wasn't a lie. "
"Oh Quinn, come here." She tried to pull her close but she protested standing and moving across the room.
" This is where it happened. " She said looking around.
