An eerie unsettling silence rang through the barren halls of the Waverider, activity had been slow over the last few days.

All the inhabitants of the ship were off in their own sections dealing with their own ways to relax and mellow out, while they distracted themselves from the stress of recent events something or more importantly someone was missing.

Zari lounged back against her chair the controls to her games console clutched between her hands, her eyes narrowed with concentration, her tongue sticking out of her mouth as she swayed left and then right along with the character on the screen in front of her.

Occasionally she would remove one hand and without taking her eyes from the screen sought out the bowl of chips she had on the table enjoying the sound of the crunch as she placed them mindlessly in her mouth and eat them.

Knock, knock.

Zari too lost in her game kept playing, Ray hovered in the doorway rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.

Zari rolled her eyes when he didn't leave. "What is it, Ray?"

" Err yeah, so should we be worried that Sara hasn't returned yet? " Ray fussed.

Zari shrugged. "Who's Sara?" A strange feeling akin the deja vu struck her, it was as though a spot was fuzzy in her mind and she couldn't quite see what it was clear.

Ray frowned. "Sara, our Captain Sara blonde woman short can get quite.....err well quite angry and bossy at times."

Zari shook her head.

Ray grimaced a feeling of dread settling in him, something was really wrong. "She's usually with Quinn." He added hoping that something would jog her mind.

The seated woman searched her mind for a connection that meant something the same thing happened again, a misty fog smothered her memory and she couldn't reconcile it with reality.

"You know Quinn, really sarcastic and tall has an attachment to the Egyptian God of death." Ray elaborated.

Zari shrugged again, he was beginning to hate that action on her.

Ray watched her desperately, his stomach sinking when her face did not change it remained blank and confused. "I need to talk to someone else, Nate!!!" He shouted running down the hall leaving Zari puzzled behind staring at the entrance where he had stood.

Running as fast as he could tripping over stray objects carelessly left lying around. "Nate!!"

Barging through the doorway the smoke hit him unexpectedly batting his hands against it to try and clear it he finally made his way to Nate, who was sat on his bed a joint in between his fingers an overly soppy smile on his face. "Heeey good buddy." He greeted.

Ray felt his heart drop even more, how was he going to get any sense out of Nate now? He had to try no matter what.

"You know something I wish I had a giraffe, that would be so sick dude, it could feed me grapes and stuff....and you know if someone tried to mug you it would hit them with its neck, plus it could see for miles... amazing." Nate chuckled taking a puff.

Ray watched through wide eyes, what was happening around here Sara would lose her shit if she saw him doing this, but where was Sara and how didn't Zari remember her? Why could he?

He let out a desperate breath. "Nate listen to me!" He cried with a plea.

Nate smiled up at him. "Hey Ray, listen I've been thinking about something."

Ray watched him expectantly, hoping that Nate although high was about to impart some great wisdom on him.

Nate's eyelids grew heavy as he tried to remember what he was going to say. "What was I.....oh, yeah, dude have you ever wondered whether Bigfoot is just naturally blurry?"
