Sara leaned heavily against the desk trying to take in everything she had learned from Ava, how could it be true? How could any possible version of herself ever do such a thing to Quinn? too lost in her own worries and thoughts she hadn't heard the footsteps that had appeared outside the room until it was too late and the mysterious Quinn stood there, her eye on her.

"I'm sorry I'm looking for someone else." She whispered before heading out again.

"Wait, how come you don't recognize me?" Sara asked shocked by her own idiotic question, but why didn't she think she was the Sara Lance who belonged on this earth?

" You look familiar but you are not my Sa...I mean you aren't the Sara Lance of this earth. "

"How do you know?"

Quinn smiled sadly. "That is an easy question I can feel you are not her."

Sara frowned, her own Quinn had said something similar a few times but she had never known what she truly meant. "Well, at least it's not that I smell."

" No, you don't smell. "

"Who were you looking for? your wife was just here." She winced at her own words.

" No, not Ava, I was looking for someone quite different. "

"How exactly did you end up married to Ava?" She had to know, what did she see in the woman? Why had she chosen her above everyone?

Quinn lifted her hand to the scared covered side of her face a grimace on her face, she never let anyone see what was beneath the hair or material, but lifting her eyes to meet the other woman she began unfastening the material and let it crumble into her hands.

Sara tried not to gasp, she tried not to turn away but it was hard, her whole side of her face was puckered and scarred even around her eye.

"More than one arrow hit me." She replied grimly.

" And that is why you married Ava? "

"My father employed her for me I was busy doing the happy playgirl routine sunning myself on a Caribbean beach with a hot blonde I'd been in love with for years." She smiled as though she was mocking herself. " That worked out very well in the end. "

"That was Sara?"

" Yep, you should have seen me I thought I ruled the world, I was untouchable oh how wrong I was. "

"What happened?"

" She didn't love me, I was a distraction, probably more of a way to get things, she had another lover who apparently was where her heart lay. " She moved to the drinks cabinet and pulled out a bottle of vodka, pouring it into a glass she downed it in one go not even acknowledging the sour strong taste afterward. "I was the fool with stars in my eyes, so many I didn't see her coming, I was leaving work and from nowhere these arrows struck me, it's not something you expect."

" Tell me about it. " Sara agreed.

"Jealous girlfriends can be deadly, Nyssa was such and as I lay there bleeding to death arrows sticking out from my face that was when I learned, or at least began to learn that everything was a lie, I wasn't the great love I made myself believe I was for Sara, Nyssa told me in vivid detail."

Sara frowned. "And that was it?"

Quinn took another glass of vodka and drank it straight swilling the remaining liquid around in the glass. "No, after a few days I got a visit in the hospital from Sara Lance she...let's just say what was left of my bruised shattered heart was demolished that day."

" I'm sorry. "

"Don't worry it isn't your fault."

" How did you end up with Ava? " She still hadn't answered her question yet but Sara wasn't going to let her go.

"Hospitals are lonely places and Ava just stopped on by for visits, I liked having her sit there and talk with me, sometimes we'd just watch some tv read some trashy fashion magazines, slowly something happened before I even knew what had happened I looked at her one day and she looked like a Supernova in a vast galaxy."

Sara blinked at such an elaborate description of the woman who had only just recently roughed her up. "She does seem to be quite something."

"She had this sweet smile, she was worlds away from Sara and that was what I liked, I remember our first kiss it was in the hospital not so romantic right? but she just.. her eyes sparkled I've never been able to say no to a blonde." Quinn laughed.

" Er yeah, that seems to be a Quinn Wilson trait no matter where I go. " Sara sighed unhappily at the thought of her Quinn and every damn blonde in the multiverse.

"After I'd given my heart to Sara and she'd handed it back to me so coldly I was scared but Ava was so warm, I proposed to her and we were happy."

" What changed? "

"The night before my wedding I had a visitor, it was Sara she came with declarations of love, apologies blah blah blah, when I didn't want to listen she hit me with the truth." Quinn sat down on the chair as though the weight of the memory was too great for her.

"What was it?"

"She was a clone bought by my father from 2213 to be a distraction to me, suddenly I realized everything was all a lie."

" Ava is a clone? "

"Yep, no one else knows and I never confronted my father about it, it seemed pointless."

" Why did you marry her? "

"I made up my mind I would call off the wedding, I got to the morning my parents were there looking happy together, my brothers, I tried to tell them but the words never came out I was a coward forever locked together with a clone who loves me because she was programmed to. "

Sara came to sit next to her it was an odd tale yet something she would imagine a well-meaning Slade Wilson to do, not the man she had known and hated. "How do you know she is programmed to love you?"

Quinn pursed her lips and smirked how else would anyone ever truly love her? she didn't have the gift her brothers had for finding affection from others and the one time she believed she had found it she'd been left physically scarred. "How else would anyone truly love me? I am not what I convinced myself I was in my younger days."

" Who of us are, we are only finding ourselves then. " Sara tried to reassure her but she could see it was doing no good.

"That was five years ago, I've been married to a woman who given the chance would leave if she could, and every day I lose a little more of my will to live in this shitty existence."

"Are you sure she seemed pretty passionate in here earlier she thought I was your Sara, she was not happy." he memory was not a good one, whoever knew Ava could look so angry and she had seen Ava Sharpe in very angry mode many times, but nothing like that.

"Why are you here anyway?" Quinn suddenly asked lifting her feet up to rest on the table in front of her, an empty glass swinging in her hand.

"Err it was a coincidence," Sara replied wincing at the pathetic excuse, she was here to track Alex and Lena which didn't seem to make much sense anymore but this story was killing her and the more she learned the more it troubled her.

The door suddenly opened revealing Quinn, her Quinn standing in the doorway. "What the hell Sara I just saw Ava and she looked pissed what did you do?"

"OMG." The other Quinn gasped, her eyes darting to the two women standing before her. "You two, wait, so let me get this straight there is a place out there somewhere where a Quinn and a Sara are together?"

"Err yeah," Quinn replied to herself.

Sara turned towards her lover an intense look in the depths of her pale blue eyes. "We need your matching skills."

Quinn's face lit up brightly. "Oh yeah now you admit it I am Cupid!"
