Laurel glared petulantly at Sara, she wanted Quinn to see what she really was, wanted to make Quinn see that she was the one who loved her, why would she never see it?

Her mind went back to that day on Earth Two when she first came to know Quinn Wilson, looking back it had seemed like the perfect most romantic meeting ever, she'd been unaware at the time of who Quinn was or what her true nature was.

She'd found it impossible to not fall in love with her.

Quinn flexed her neck one way and then turned it the other way teleporting could be tiring sometimes, especially when she'd spent the night before drink far too much, in her mind it hadn't been enough but she'd learned a long time ago there was no magic pill to fix what haunted her, booze merely numbed the pain for a short time then it came back stronger than before.

Her first few moments on Earth Two and she found herself in a patch of greenery, people running past going about their days happily, childish squeals of delight as they ran and played for a moment her gaze followed them feeling a hitch in her heart as she remembered her carefree days as a child.

She shook her head and turned around to face the building, it was after all the reason for her being sent here, her task was to check out and investigate S.T.A.R. Labs specifically Harrison Wells.

The building looked more like a nuclear station than a science lab, Quinn frowned at the ugliness of it.

"People actually thought to build that opposite a paradise, eww someone has a sick sense of humor."

A flash of blonde caught her eye, as always her mind traveled to the one blonde who had taken her heart with her to the grave. instinct made her follow her as she made her way across the field, instinct because there was something familiar about her.

She wasn't Sara or any incantation of her, she'd encountered a few though none of them had ever set her heart alight as hers had done.

The explosion was unexpected, it sent her flying across the field her already messed up mutant DNA shielded her from any physical harm but the scene was a mess.

Lifting herself up to her feet again shaking herself to dislodge any grass or rubble that was stuck to her, she saw her lying on the ground unmoving.

"Oh no no no!" She ran hard towards her and fell to her knees cupping her head between her hands, a hard deep gasp coming from her when her visage was revealed.

" Laurel. "

"Jeez, you don't give me a Sara you give me her sister instead, what kind of messed up bullshit is that?"

The woman let out a pained groan as she came around her head rolling aimlessly.

"Hey, it's okay." Quinn soothed. " My name is Quinn and today is your lucky day. "

"Wh. ..what happened?"

" Explosion. " Now she understood why she was sent here, but it seemed she was too late or just at the perfect time, she couldn't decide what.

The sound of sirens rang out the closer they got the more deafening the sounds became.

"See the cavalry are here, I told you it was your lucky day." Quinn smiled down into her blue eyes, eyes that were too achingly familiar and yet strange.

Her hand lifted up to catch Quinn's that moved her hair away from her eyes. "Pl..please stay with me."

Quinn cleared her throat fighting the urge to run, but the sight of her weakly laid out before her, hurt made her unable to move. " Okay. "
