"This is the fifth Catco delivery truck attacked this week." Alex sighed as she ran her fingers through her hair, Alex Evell was certainly keeping them busy, Quinn and Kara especially taking his campaign of hate against Lena particularly personal.
Quinn slumped down into the chair she'd hardly slept in the days since the gang first attacked Catco and since besides the trucks that carried the editions being attacked, security guards had been attacked and hospitalized, journalists threatened and abused the trials had been endless.
As a result, she had stayed extra close to Lena, even taking to sleeping in her apartment, it was just a matter of time until Lena herself was targeted.
Evell wanted Catco he was stopping at nothing until he got it.
Quinn growled kicking the table in front of her across the room in anger. "Damn it, Winn, can we find nothing to nail this bastard with?"
" No, he hides his sins very well. "
"Quinn this is going to sound stupid coming from me but getting frustrated and angry will not help us." Alex tried to soothe her rubbing her back gently.
" He is scum Alex he reminds me of the officials back in Star city so fucking corrupt and when you call them on it they attack because they are so far in their own shit they can't move, decades of dirty policies and self-serving attitudes are far too hard to cover over. "
"Everything will be fine we will sort this out."
" Another Catco truck, the driver is in intensive care. " Kara said seriously as she approached them, the look of anger that appeared on the dark haired woman's face might have scared her if she didn't know her.
" Shit another one. "
"He has a wife and four kids."
" Jeez what a kick in the teeth for that family. " Quinn grimaced moving away from Alex's arm she needed a moment alone.
Alex watched her move away, a little hurt.
"She is taking this hard its not about you," Kara reassured her.
" I know but I hate that she won't let me comfort her. "

"I just wish she would let me in." Alex sighed watching her as she stared off into space a haunted look on her face.
" She will in time, she just needs to learn that there is someone there for her. "
"But it's my nature to be overprotective."
Kara smiled knowingly. "I know, but Quinn is different and her life has been different to us, she isn't used to having someone to lean on."
