Quinn felt the smile tug across her face even in sleep, this was her happy place, this time when she woke it wouldn't be to ice cold reality but to see Sara there next to her.

It had been a few days since they had returned from the wedding that never was, it meant while she had followed Sara onto the waverider Alex had to go back to National City no matter how much pouting both Quinn and Sara had done.

Sara watched her angelic face, she found she did this now if it was creepy then she must be creepy, she watched her sleep too afraid if she closed her eyes she would be gone and it would all be a dream.

Ran her a gentle finger along the edges of her face, her silky black hair carefully tickled her sensitive skin.

"I love you I can't believe I found you again." She whispered softly wondering why she was smiling.

" I'm just trying to imagine you by a lake, all peace and sunshine no black leather in sight and little birds singing in the trees. " Quinn laughed throwing her head back against the car seat.

"Hey, I can do all those things," Sara said in mock outrage.

" Sure you can. " Quinn winked.

Sara rolled her eyes and turned back to watch the road, it had been two weeks since the dinner at her mother's house and two weeks since her badly misjudged kiss with Nyssa, after two days of constant bombardment from her Quinn had finally forgiven her, they had been almost inseparable ever since.

She'd worried in their short break up Quinn had been with someone else but the other woman had reassured her that there had been none, in truth she was too heartbroken to have even begun to contemplate someone else.

"This was such a good idea to get away from the city." Quinn smiled opening the window wide taking in the fresh country air.

"I know you hate it there," Sara said sadly, she observed how long she could keep her there, when she would leave would that meant the end of them? She was too cautious to ask.

"It's not my favorite place but you're there so I'll put up with it."

"You are just too sweet."

"Remember That next time I piss you off." Quinn smiled turning back towards her, her blonde hair blowing around her head.

"I will don't worry."

Quinn day on the hard wooden step that was the porch to the cabin, the faint sunshine tried to make its way through the clouds and the treetops above but failed, instead, a green glow seemed to emanate from above and hit all that lived below.
