"I don't want to hear it, Sara, I know my Mom did some pretty shitty things but she wasn't in her right mind and you know very well why," Quinn said sternly walking away from Sara who chased after her, she knew what she'd heard what she had seen.

Grabbing her arm Sara pulled her around. "Quinn, I remember that evil old cows voice anywhere she used her perfect pitch cut glass voice to tell me how not good enough I was for you so many times it's ingrained in my mind."

She remembered every awkward hate filled occasion, Adeline Kane hadn't missed a chance to show her utter disdain for her.

One time stuck out slightly more than others, like wood dust that clung to the eyes and stung like acid the feelings were still as powerful as they had been then.

"I can't believe you are cooking." Laurel smiled lifting up the onion from the kitchen table and waving it in the air, the sight of her little sister with an apron on and a cookery book open was something she never thought she'd see in her life, but here it was and it was utterly too funny.

Sara frowned. "Shut up, it's a surprise."

" Oh so sweet, and what is the occasion? " Her sister teased.

"It's a month since she moved in with me, it's an anniversary," Sara said shyly.

" I'm not sure it is Sara, but no matter if it is or not I'm sure Quinn will love it, even if you do end up poisoning her. "

"Not funny Laurel." Sara pouted. "This needs to be perfect so she doesn't run away."

Laurel smiled, she'd never seen her sister like this over anyone, it had been a little weird at first considering just who Quinn's father was but once they'd gotten to know Quinn everything just made sense. "Come on she's not going to be running anywhere, I think its pretty much a done deal that you've caught her little sister, and she isn't going anywhere."

" Why does that sound sinister? " Sara's face paled

" Why does that sound sinister? " Sara's face paled.

"Because you are being negative, where is your lady love today anyway?" The elder sister asked picking up a piece of julienned carrot and eating it.

" She had lunch with her old drama teacher and then spent some time doing research in the library, she's auditioning for that part. " Sara shrugged, the whole thing had her more than worried, what if she got the part? What if she became famous?

"Oh now I see, you are afraid she will find someone better, someone, full of glitter and fame."

" Maybe. "

"Sara, I can't claim to know a lot about love but Quinn wouldn't have spent so much time pining after you to then throw everything away for someone with extra white teeth."

"Is that a knock at my oral hygiene, because mine is 100% thank you, sister," Sara replied adamantly.

"No, it was a knock at your stupidly, Quinn loves you and no matter how famous the person she isn't so shallow as to lose someone she loves for that."
