Aurie's POV

PING!

My phone lit up as a message appeared on the lock screen.

It was Ivy.

I-Can we meet?

I replied quickly.

A-Sure. Where?

I-The mall. Just the two of us today.

A-Cool, I'll meet you at 4.

I-See ya!

I smiled slightly and got up. I checked the time-3:30. I had half an hour to get ready.

Quickly, I pulled on my blue jeans, a plain grey, long-sleeved top and slipped on my black sneakers before pulling my hair out of its messy state and combing it, trying to make it look presentable.

Eventually, I gave up and tied my hair up again.

I picked up my phone off the dressing table and slipped on a black sling bag on my shoulder.

Taking one last look at myself in the mirror, I walked out and downstairs towards the front door.

"I'm going out" I announced to my parents who were sitting in the living room.

"Be back before 10!" my mom said. "And please, let me know if you're staying over at your friends this time." she said sternly.

I nodded, instantly feeling guilty as I remembered the last time I slept over at Ivy's because I was drunk and had to lie to my mom.

She gave me a small smile as I walked out the door.

I got in a cab and off to the mall.

"I have to buy a dress" Ivy said as we walked towards a dress store.

"A dress?" I asked, confused.

"Yeah, I have a date. And no clothes" she said.

"A date?!" I exclaimed, my eyes gleaming with happiness.

Suddenly, Ivy's cheeks went red and she stared at her feet shyly.

This was completely unlike Ivy. She wasn't one to be shy. Atleast that's what I had interpreted since I had met her.

"Who's the lucky guy?" I asked smirking.

"Actually...it's a girl" she said, smiling.

"Woah, I didn't know you were-"

"Bi" she said, cutting me off.

"Who is she?" I asked, intrigued.

"Her name's Amber. We met at a club a few nights ago." she said as we walked inside the store.

I smiled wide. I was happy for Ivy. She seemed so excited for this date, I couldn't help but be excited for her.

A salesperson came us to us, offering us her help. Ivy was utterly confused and so she happily accepted the help.

The sales girl whose name tag read-Emma, pulled out a few dresses which all looked gorgeous.

Ivy tried at least 4 of them, which looked amazing on her but she didn't like any of them. Eventually she fell in love with one and sprinted inside the dressing room to try it on.
