Two month later:
"How is everything?" Max finally asked as they walked down the hall to Jason's meeting room."Fine. It's just... enough about me, how are the kids?" He gave her a smirk and a sideways glance when Max responded with a snort and shook her head.
"Parents are scared and not sure if they should bring their kids here again. But some parents thought what I did was quick thinking and came to the conclusion that we had good enough directors here. So most of the kids are staying, I'm just meeting with a few more parents... funny enough during your meeting," Max smiled at Jason and he returned the smile with a squeeze of his hand.
"I'm glad. I'm serious if it weren't for you and what you did, our school would be done for," Max blushed lightly at the compliment and gave him a look.
"If you didn't get the directors when you did, we would be in even worse shape."
"So that's how it's going to be?" He pulled her close to him and raised her brow. She knew what he was going to say even without her link and with a smile she replied. "We're just going to have to agree to disagree respectfully."
"You can be so difficult," Jason whined, throwing his arms up in the air, Max chuckled softly with a shake of her head.
"Call it a gift."
"Yeah well can I return it?"
"Nope you're stuck with it forever I'm afraid," she leaned in closer and Jason squeezed their clasped hands.
"Good."
"What have they decided to do with Taylor?" Max asked delicately, knowing it was still a touchy subject for Jason. Jason sighed and gave her a look.
"They found out she was Rav's right hand man, everything she did was for him. She also confessed he called her his "little girl" or something like that and pushed her around. She wants to join the academy again."
They walked in a moment of silence before Max opened up the conversation again. "What's going to happen then?"
"We don't know, supposedly we are suppose to discuss that at our meeting but we have so much to cover who knows what will happen."
"You will make the right choice, you always do," Max smiled sweetly and Jason groaned teasingly.
"You have no idea how much pressure you put on me. What do you want woman!?"
Max laughed at that and let go of his hand as his meeting place came into view.
"Well knock them dead," Max hugged him tightly before pulling back only to be pulled back into Jason's chest again. With a smile she look up at him and noticed his mischievous grin.
He leaned in but she pulled with a teasing expression. "No can do Mister. You have a meeting to go to," she crossed her arms and pointed toward the door
"Why is that your excuse for everything?" He whined leaning in closer with a pleading grin. Max smiled and kiss him on the cheek instead and mindlinked her message to him.
"Go your late. You're always late..."
"And who's fault is that?"
"Yours."
Jason smiled and drew her in close. "Don't you think it's funny how this all worked out?" He whispered in her ear and she blushed lightly.
She smiled already knowing to what he was referring to. "How we became one of those cheesy, sappy couples?"
He just rolled his eyes with a grin, "What else would I be referring to?"
She laughed and he took it in with a smile. "Hurry up before they find a new director."
