"After you," he smirked, his eyes almost seemed to have an extra sparkle to it.

"Okay," she said hesitantly, alarmed by his show of manners and nice eyes.

She looked at the course in front of her and started shaking her head. Stupid nice eyes. "No. Nope. No way. Is this what the competition is based on? Don't you roll your eyes at me," Max warned when she caught Jason rolling his eyes but he just smirked it off.

"Come on. You're late to training. Again, and you need the practice," he announced handing her a small dagger looking thing out of the bucket that held them.

"What is this?" Max asked examining it. The weird object looked like an arrow but had the thickness of a small dagger, plus the material was rubber like. It just did not add up.

"It's a dagger dart, it's made out of rubber but looks real at the same time. Though it's made of rubber, it's almost like a special rubber. It sticks to our battle outfits and gives us a little shock before releasing the ink," Jason explained while he threw the dart at the target.

The dart stuck to the target and shortly after ink burst out before it fell to the ground. "The target is made of the same material as our battle outfits. So if you get hit that's pretty much what it's going to look like," Jason nudged her shoulder and winked at her.

Rolling her eyes, she grabbed a dart from the bucket and played with it between her fingers. "What happens if you run out?"

Jason's eyes lit up excitingly. "That's the best part! Each player starts with seven and when you run out you have to go to the people who are already dead and steal their arrows," he paused for affect, his eyes waiting for her to ask.

Smiling she finally asked, "What happens then?"

"First off, have you noticed that all the arrows have a light on top?" He asked and continued when she nodded her head.

"Well the people dead have to press their emergency button, or they are disqualified. Eyes everywhere..."

"What if you forget?"

He paused, giving her a thoughtful look before giving a shrug. "To bad, so sad?"

After the stern look he received he smirked swiftly and continued on. "The emergency button says that this person died and their colors change. So perfects have a blue color to hit the imperfects with, but once they die and they hit the switch the color turns red, and vice versa for imperfects. So to get your new set of arrows you have to go for the dead enemy," he exclaimed, his eyes almost seemed to have an evil glint to it.

"That is almost confusing," Max responded with the only response she could think of.

"Oh it gets better," he laughed quietly before facing her again with a evil grin. Quite scared at the crazy look she was receiving she just smiled nervously and motioned for him to continue.

"When the color is switched and the person picks up the set of arrows, they better run. For the dead person's team will feel it and their suit will buzz to warn them that their partner died but also that the set of arrows were stolen. But it will also lead you to the person who stole the arrows, but you only have a few seconds to see."

"Okay, wait. Wait. I don't know if it's that I'm confused or slow. Or both. The dead person makes the switch but what makes the suit vibrate for the team? Showing that the arrows were stolen?" Max asked, trying to wrap her head around everything.

"The team bags and suits are all connected and all match. Perfects have a brownish black outfit, mainly brown, while imperfects colors are the same just in opposite places, mainly black. There is a sensor on the bags... it's like it reads fingerprints and hand firmness at the same time... I can't explain how cause I don't full know how but don't worry a lot of this will make sense later. Technology these days am I right?" He chuckled nervously, his hand going to the back of his neck.
