Max woke up the quietest she has ever woken up before barely making any sound as she moved.

She took time off for a few days to go visit her dad and see how everything was holding up at home and hope things don't go out of hand.

Hoping she wouldn't have to stay more than a few days she packed a bag with only the clothes she would need along with a book to read and her journal with her pens.

She was already in her clothes as she took a short nap in her clothes in hopes she would wake up before anyone else. The silent, vibrating alarm she set for midnight woke her up immediately as she found it hard to sleep anyway.

She tipped toed her way to the door grateful that Luna decided to stay with Jason. Lily being a deep sleeper had barely anything that could wake her up except the bright sunrise that came in through the curtains.

Though Max knew a lot wouldn't wake up Lily she still walked very carefully till she was out the door.

Walking through the school late at night was almost like a ghost town, the shadows seeming to move and the slightest sound had you turning around, fearing for what would happen next.

Her steps couldn't help but make soft clicks on the wooden floor the faster she walked to reach the door before anyone would notice.

The sound of voices stopped her in her tracks as she quickly move towards the wall, the darkness allowing her to not be to noticeable.

"Yeah we have to do something about her," a voice that sort of sounded familiar spoke up her voice filled with hate and anger. "I know, that's literally what I just said," Dana's voice snapped back the girl that spoke before quickly apologized.

The conversation quickly got quieter the further away they went. Trying to keep up without making too much noise showed to be a lot more difficult then she had anticipated with her loud tennis shoes.

"I know she's not a perfect she's to... inexperience besides the fact she came out of no where and no one thinks it's weird. It's either she isn't one of us or she's something else and I think it's beyond perfects and imperfects. Beside the fact she wears gloves all the time. No perfect does and only a handful of imperfects do it which is understandable but a perfect, that's way to fishy..." Dana's serious tone was already drifting, Max still trying to follow along.

"Well technically her gloves match Jason's so they must be a couple..." a new voice pitched in, the emotion in her voice was one Max couldn't detect but when she said it she immediately started shaking her head. Nope. Never happening.

"Yeah I agree and to be honest I think they would make a cute one to, perfect and imperfect," someone else pitched in, almost happy sounding

"Please they would be the worst couple ever. He would never be with someone like her, you must have mistaken the design," Dana said bitterly in an arrogant way but Max couldn't help but think about what she said. Note to self ask Jason where I can get different gloves.

Max took another step and not seeing the small bump tripped over it and made one loud step. Quickly moving to the side of the wall she held her breath when they started to speak up.

"Did you hear that?" One of the other girls brought it up as they all turned and looked around, luckily not seeing Max in the process. After a while of looking, Dana mentioned how she must has imagined it and their conversation changed to what outfit they would be wearing tomorrow and the makeup they would be wearing.

Max took in what she heard in the short amount of time and instantly knew Dana was talking about her. She was close to and knew something was up, Max sighed in relief that they didn't find her but also quite shakened at how close she was to figuring it all out. She was close. Way to close for anyone's liking.
