"Calm down, guys. It'll be okay," I sling my arm around Riley and Nyla's shoulders to comfort them. Today is our first day of filming, and they have not stopped stressing. Riley changed her outfit at least eight times, and Nyla got a total of four hours of sleep.
We head to the room PDnim asked us to meet him in, stopping by our practice room along the way.
Riley fiddles with her fingers, "What do you think our first mission will be? Do you think we will have to perform today?"
"Maybe we'll get our mission today and have some time to prepare?" Nyla uncertainly suggests, "After all, the episodes are usually a couple days of content, right?"
"Whatever it is, we have been training for awhile now. Focus on the performance, and you guys will do great as always," I attempt to assure them.
We pick up our phones at the sound of them signaling a text message

We toss our phones to the side and discuss random ideas we have had for performances or songs.
"Have you seen the choreography for Runner by UP10TION? I especially like the beginning part of it along with the chorus," I ask the two.
Nyla lights up, "Yes! I've been watching that choreography quite a bit recently."
"I like the way they sing a certain line in the chorus. I want to write a line that would go smoothly like that," Riley adds.
"I have some random incomplete tracks you could experiment with," Nyla tells her.
Riley replies, "Let's work together on it soon."

A knock is soon heard at the door of the practice room. We direct our attention towards it to see nine familiar boys walk through.
Chan smiles at us, "We heard your first filming was today and wanted to wish you good luck."
"Oh, thanks, guys," I say to them as the three of us lightly bow.
The boys join us on the practice room floor.
"Do you know your first mission?" Seungmin questions.
Riley shakes her head no, "We honestly have absolutely no clue what to expect."
"From our earlier episodes," Changbin starts, "I can assure you that it is definitely nerve-wracking. However, you're doing this because you have a goal: To debut as a group. Don't lose sight of that. If you focus on your dream and work hard towards it, you can last till the end."
"Thanks for the advice," Nyla quietly tells him, still not completely comfortable around the boys.
I nod, "Yeah, we really appreciate it."

After talking to them, we meet at the room PDnim told us about. We are greeted by various staff members hurrying around to get whatever it is they need to do completed. The sight is enough to make me anxious, but I can't forget why we're here: We love music, and we love making it together, so that is exactly what we will do.

sorry for the late update: i was going to post a chapter much sooner, but i was trying to decide on a name for the survival show that the girls will be on. after much thought and no conclusion, i decided to write this chapter instead without the show name. hopefully i'll have a name by the next chapter.
