I decided to stay at the company building for awhile longer after Suwei and Nyla left. I need to improve on my vocals soon. Part of the reason is that I want to prove that I am capable of developing skills—more to myself than to anyone else—and I also don't want to be a weight dragging my two friends down.
Even though we all have our weak points, I still consider myself the weakest of the group. If extra hours is what it is going to take for me to be on par with Suwei and Nyla, then I will happily spend more time on my skills. Hopefully I can be a team member who supports them; not one that they have to carry.
I start singing a song I am comfortable with, focusing on the Korean pronunciation. As I'm singing, the door to the vocal room opens. Moonsik walks in with Hyesun, Kaito, and Sarai behind him.
"Hey, Riley. Why are you still here?" the Korean boy asks as the four sit down.
I smile at my four friends, "I'm practicing my vocals. I haven't seen you guys in awhile. What are you up too?"
Sarai speaks up, "The usual. You three are getting more and more busy as this show goes on."
"Yeah. With that schedule, don't forget about us too fast," Hyesun jokes, making us all lightly laugh.
"We could never forget you all," I respond, "But, even if all three of us debut, we all have to make plans together."
Kaito nods his head, "Of course."
"Anyway," Hyesun starts, "Need any help in vocal training?"
I immediately want to take up the offer, "I could use all the help I can get, but I don't want to keep you guys up."
"It's no bother for me. You three should try to get some sleep though," she says, gesturing to the other three.
Moonsik stands up, "Okay, mother. See you two later."
Hyesun rolls her eyes and playfully hits the boy. Kaito and Sarai leave the room after saying their goodbyes, being extra cautious to avoid getting hit by Hyesun.
"Alright, let's see what you got."
I nervously sigh and begin to sing, thankful to have Hyesun by my side.
