"So, what did you think?" I ask our trainee friends while taking a big sip of water.
Tomorrow is the day we have to perform the song in front of PDnim, so we asked Hyesun, Moonsik, Kaito, and Sarai to watch our performance and give opinions.
Riley cuts in before they can start talking, "And be honest, no matter how mean it sounds. We want to fix all our errors."
"Well," Moonsik starts, "I think the main thing to fix is your expressions. I can tell how nervous all of you are, and it distracts from your talents. While you perform, you have to look confident, no matter how nervous you are."
Sarai nods, "You guys are talented, so you don't want your audience to think you're amateurs just because you look nervous."
"Thanks," Nyla tells them, "I need to work on that."
"Anything else?" I question our audience of four.
Hyesun ponders, "I guess just the whole confidence thing. With your dancing, singing, and rapping, don't try to hide your movement or voice."
"Yeah, other than that you guys are ready. So, let's go get food," Kaito says, gesturing to the door.
We laugh and pack up our things, following the trainees to get some food.

As usual, we awkwardly file into a line in front of PDnim while the cameras follow our movements.
"Have you prepared well?" PDnim asks us.
We nod our heads to signal we have.
"Since this is your first performance in front of me, it will give me an idea of what your strengths and weaknesses are. Good luck. Start whenever you're ready," he tells us.
I bring Riley and Nyla into a half hug as we go into our positions. I see some movement behind PDnim and glance up to see Jaebum, Jinyoung, and Mark have entered the room. Mark gives me a small thumbs up.
The music begins to play as we start our performance of 'Cactus' by A.C.E.

PDnim gives us a nod of approval after we finish, and we return to the line we were previously standing in. I notice the three GOT7 boys smile at us, making me feel reassured about our performance.
"For your first performance in front of me, it was not bad. However, I was able to easily see both your strengths and weaknesses," PDnim begins.
I hold my breath as PDnim explains what he noticed in each of us.
"Suwei, you are a strong dancer. Your movements tend to be big and precise. Your weak point is rap delivery, or just delivery of lines that aren't quite as melodic. Practice making those types of lyrics sound stronger and hold the emotion that your vocal lines do."
I bow and thank him.
He then turns to Riley, "I suppose you're the rapper of the group. Your delivery is quite good, but you should make eye contact with your audience and gestures to show that you are comfortable. This will also help keep your audience's attention. Your weakness is singing. You need to expand your range and be able to comfortably hold notes."
"Thank you," Riley says as she bows to him.
"Finally, Nyla. I'm aware you have a shy personality, but you have to try to let go of that on stage. You sing very well, but your movements tend to be small and rushed, making your weak point your dance. In order to be an idol, you will need confidence on stage."
She nods and bows.
To finish off his review of our performance, he talks about us as a whole: "Your weaknesses don't seem as big when you all perform together, but, since you are only three people, if one of you were to make a mistake in choreography or lyrics, it would be more obvious. Make sure to pay close attention to detail in your performances."
We simultaneously say thank you and bow again in respect.
"With that, I have decided your second mission. You will each prepare a solo performance with your weakest skills. Suwei should have a rap performance, Riley should sing, and Nyla should dance. You may also incorporate the other elements, for example you could sing and dance, as long as you focus on strengthening your weak points," PDnim explains.
From the corner of my eyes, I can see the wariness of Nyla and Riley. Our first time performing solo, and it has to be on the things we are worst at. This could go in so many different directions.
