"Personally, I try to fix the basic things and then let the members try recording in their own style," Chan tells me as he explains the things he does as the leader of his group.
"They must enjoy that."
He confirms my statement, "I think so. It also makes the whole recording process less stressful on them."
I'm about to comment further on the topic, but a loud voice interrupts our conversation.
"We did it!" Jisung shouts, entering the room with an equally hyper Changbin and an awkward Nyla a few feet behind them.
The three approach Chan and I as we give them our attention.
"What's the commotion?" A voice I recognize as Riley's asks.
The girl enters the room and leans on me, telling me how exhausted she is.
"I don't get how you dance all the time, Suwei. It's so tiring."
I laugh, "Get over it."

"Anyway," Changbin says while stealing Nyla's laptop out of her hands, "We made a bunch of edits to the song, perfected the lyrics, and recorded a guide."
I immediately light up, "That's great! Can we hear it?"
Changbin nods and plays the song, Nyla softly reaching out to get her laptop back, which she failed to do as Changbin didn't notice her actions.
"So, what'd you think?" Jisung questions us, trying to keep in his excitement.
I put my hands on Nyla's shoulders, "This is amazing. You should stop underestimating yourself."
She faintly replies with a quick, "Thanks," and finally succeeds in getting her laptop back.
"You have about another week to prepare, right?" Chan asks for confirmation.
Riley nods, "That's correct."
Chan addresses the three of us, "Do you have ideas for the choreography?"
"I've been talking to a choreographer here at JYPE a bit, and she has been working with me on some dance techniques. I can show her the song and work on the choreography with her if that's okay?" I suggest.
Nyla agrees, "That works. Riley can help me record an actual version of the song."
"Perfect. Let's do this," Riley says, energized by the fact that they are going to perform their own song on the show.
