Another day of practicing for a mission with cameras following us, except for one thing: Suwei isn't here.
The emptiness is more than obvious. With Riley and I practicing for our duet and Suwei rehearsing her solo, we haven't spent much time together outside of the dorms these past couple days.
"It's been such a short time, yet I already can't imagine making music without all three of us together," Riley says as if she can read my mind.
I look up from my hands, "I know, but we still have to do our best for this duo performance, even if it isn't what we want."
She sighs, "You're right. Let's stop wasting our time; Suwei would yell at us if she saw us right now."
I laugh thinking about how Suwei would be urging us to get up and start practicing, "Let's get to it."
We head into a producing studio where I left my laptop, sitting down and talking through how we could bring out certain parts of our voices or stage ourselves to make the performance more interesting.
The door clicks behind us, and two boys file in. It seems quite common that people we know end up popping into the rooms we are in.

"What's with people we know somehow walking into the rooms we're in all the time?" Riley asks, taking the words out of my thoughts.
"What's with you constantly reading my mind?" I retort.
Jisung and Changbin laugh before walking towards us.
Riley, now quite comfortable with Stray Kids, is quick to greet them: "Hey, Jisung and Changbin. We can leave if you want to work on music."
Changbin shakes his head, "No worries. We were told you two are doing a duet and remembered that time we had to perform a 3RACHA song without Chan."
"We had to be 2RACHA," Jisung frowns, "Anyways, we thought we would check in on you."
Riley turns to face me, "Well, we are just going to do a rap and vocal duo without dancing. The lyrics are pretty much memorized, so we just need to work on our stage presence since this one is too shy."
She pokes my cheek, and I give her a small glare, to which she innocently smiles at me.
Jisung lights up, "We can totally help with that!"
"Absolutely," Changbin confirms.
