The show's episodes get publicly released much later than they actually happen, so by the time episode four came out, the song we performed for the fourth mission was already released to gain some publicity from it.
Especially since Stray Kids' busking mission, PDnim seems to be expecting a large crowd of people. JYP as a company has been getting quite a bit of attention due to people wanting to know more about Stray Kids, and of course the excitement that has always been around the other JYP artists.
That gives us a lot of pressure, not to mention the pressure from what PDnim said earlier:
"I have high expectations."
After the great comments we received, we cannot mess this busking mission up. I really hope the public accepts us. Nyla has been working nonstop on songs for the mission, trying to make them as good as the first song we released. Jisung and Changbin have been a huge help to her too.
"What are you thinking about?" Felix says, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah, focus on us!" Chan whines.
Riley places her hand on my shoulder, "You always tell Nyla and I not to stress, so you shouldn't stress either."
The four of us were at a café getting a bite to eat in between our training sessions.
"How was busking for you guys?" I ask the Australian boys.
Felix sighs, "Definitely not my finest moment on the show."
Riley glares at him, "Not helping."
"I was just being honest," he puts his hands up in surrender.
"It was hard," Chan confirms, "But it was also quite exciting. We got to perform in front of people who supported us, and it really fed into my energy, but be careful not to get overly-hype."
I nod in understanding, "Any other advice?"
"Try to come up with dance moves that are attention grabbing, but don't do anything that you are not too confident in to avoid messing up. That goes for the song in general too," Felix contributes.
Chan agrees with the younger boy, "For sure. This is a given, but upbeat songs are more ideal if you trying to hype up the crowd."
"Makes sense," Riley says.
Before the conversation dies, Chan adds, "Some small mistakes may be bound to happen, so I suggest thinking about different possible scenarios and how you would casually handle them to ensure they do not become a big problem."
"Alright," I tell the two boys, "Thank you for all the advice."
Felix smiles, "Of course. Also, what we said awhile ago is still true: We'll be waiting to congratulate all three of you when you debut together."
